summer's finally come to an end, and the anticipation of another new term is growing within the hogwarts student body. especially between a band of five friends. or, what used to be five friends.
not only anticipation, however, but also confusion and fear.
because even after everything that happened in the past year, everything they went through, harry potter is still having nightmares. his scar is still hurting. and nothing is certain. nothing is safe.
even when thoughts of the dangerous future were forgotten, nothing was any clearer. with seemingly strong friendships shattered, words unspoken, demanding school matters encroaching, memories of the past resurfacing, and "feelings" evolving, cas and ophelia hardly have time to catch their breath before another curveball is thrown out of nowhere.
a curveball, like, say...a large mass of uncomfortably familiar dark oil exiting the forbidden forest. even after it was supposed to be dead.
cas, ophelia, al, teddy, and scorpius had barely recovered before they were thrown headfirst back into a new fight, filled with surprises and hard decisions. no matter what they do, one thing is certain:
