Hunter tapped his pen on the desk while he read a plan of action one of his employees had created for the meeting.

"What the hell is this dude talking about" he thought to himself as he read on

It seemed like no one was actually capable of coming up with an well planned idea for hunter. He became frustrated and crumpled the paper up throwing it away.

" I need to sweep some of these employees out of here" he thought to himself as he turned on his computer.

The elevator bell rang and in walked Kai'Lan with a coffee in her hand.

"No accident today, since you're not zooming to the elevator" she said while handing him the coffee.

"Ok Kai'Lan, I get it" he said taking a sip of his coffee

"Just making sure you knew, what can I do for you today" she said taking a seat in front of his desk

"You seem awfully comfortable today sitting in my chairs whenever you please" he said eyeing her

"I've been working here long enough to not be uncomfortable I guess" she said proudly

"You're so different, my old assistant would've gotten up in an instant. Anyways I need you to scan a few papers for me" he handed her a folder

"I don't like to be told what to do" she said getting up

"Oh really considering I'm your boss that's gonna be a problem" he said furrowing his brows

"I'm sure you can handle it Mr.Gray" she smirked and walked over to the elevator getting ready to leave

"Wait Kai'Lan ! I forgot to tell you, there's a Formal event every employee is required to attend next week. It'll be at my house, you're supposed to get the details from Nina" he said clasping his hands over his chest

"Ok I'll ask her about it" and with that she closed the elevator door

She wasn't lying when she said to kiss her plump ass after the argument her and hunter had, as she walked to the elevator hunter couldn't help but notice her figure.

Downstairs Kai'Lan walked over to the copy room and started scanning the documents Hunter had given to her.

After almost an hour of scanning Kai'Lan was finally finished and she was tired.

"I'm to bougie to work" she mumbled to herself walking out the copy room while laughing.

After bringing the documents to hunter Kai'Lan decided to ask Nina about the ball hunter told her about.

"Hey Nina, hunter told me about a ball that we're supposed to go to and he said you would tell me everything I need to know" she said while folding her hands over the desk in front of Nina

"Hi, well every year Mr.Gray has a ball where every employee comes to, it's really fancy so you have to dress to impress." Nina replied

"He said it's at his house, how big can his house be !" Kai whisper screamed

"Girl it is hugeeee, he has multiple houses but we always use the same one for the gala, I'll send you the message" nina said picking up her phone.

"Alright thanks, im gonna go finish typing up some reports, I need a break and it's only been two hours" Kai'Lan said while flattening her hair to make sure her slick bun stayed in place

"I feel you, it can be hectic working here but you got it worse you're on your feet a lot" Nina laughed

"Tell me about it" Kai'Lan said while walking away.

The next week went by fast

It was the night of the Gala at Hunters house and Kai'Lan was in her room getting ready

"There's probably gonna be so many fine rich guys there KAI YOU BETTER SNATCH UP A MAN" Jada yelled over FaceTime

"Shoot I might find myself a sugar daddy" Kai'Lan laughed while applying her lip liner

"I'd tell you to snatch up hunter but he's engaged and I'm not trying to get you caught up" Jada smiles

"Hunter can be a asshole I don't want nothing to do with him" Kai'Lan scoffed in return

"I guess, well girl it's almost 8 hurry the hell up, you gonna walk in late to your first gala !?" Jada scolded her

"Oh shit you right, thank God I'm done with my makeup, imma get my dress" Kai'Lan said walking to her closet

She pulled out a red satin tight long sleeved midi dress.

"That's cuteeee, where are the shoes" Jada said

"Girl I went to this boutique downtown and got me some red designer heels, that job at hunters is actually paying off" Kai'Lan said while dancing with the lace up heels in her hands

"Perioddd Kai, you better walk into that gala like you own the place. There's probably gonna be some stuck ups there so you better dress to impress" Jada advised her

"I know, I know" Kai'Lan said while smoothing out the dress she had on

"Alright I gotta go, I'm gonna finish getting dressed and leave" Kai'Lan said to Jada

"Send me picturessss" Jada yelled before ending the call

Kai'Lan sat on her bed and put on the heels, After almost 2 hours she was finally done

She went over to her vanity and sprayed perfume on and grabbed her purse

"Why am I always on the verge of being late" she said to herself speed walking out of the room.

She went to the living room and turned off the tv, on her way out she took one last gaze at herself in the mirror

" bad bitch that's me, now lets go" she said to herself closing the lights and locking the door behind her.

After an hour Kai'Lans GPS let her know she had arrived at her destination

"Oh Hunter living living" she said looking at the mansion and the fountain that stood in the courtyard around it.

Kai'Lan got out of her car, giving the keys to a valet driver to go park and stood in front of the house. She smoothed out her dress and walked towards the house

"You got this Kai, you look great" she murmured to herself as the butlers opened the double doors for her to walk inside.
