"SCREW THEM," lola said softly as she rubbed her sisters back with her palm. "their just dickheads who want to get under your skin."
lydia looked up at her sister with her eyebrows raised as she squinted her eyes at the young brunette. it was rare that lola would use fowl language, but when she did it was for a good reason and in the fifteen year olds opinion, it was. lola opened her mouth to say something but closed it when she saw henry walking their way, his staff in hand as he placed it on the concrete with each step as lola jerked her head towards the blonde boy conforming his presence.
"hey," he sighed, relieved as he came to a halt before sitting next to lydia on the metal bench. "I was looking everywhere for you two."
"we just got turned around." lydia said with a shrug as her long brunette hair blew the slight breeze.
"you sure?" henry questioned as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "did something happen?"
"I'll leave you two alone," lola said, her button nose scrunched as she patted her sisters shoulder before walking away. "have to find the bathroom anyways."
she quickly turned on her heel and winked at her sister with while teasing grin spread across her face. she turned, the smile fading as she wrapped her arms around herself as she scanned the fair for any familiar faces.
as she continued her journey down the road that was filled with people and stands with different games and activities, ezekiel greeted her briefly before leaving to talk to a women with a long green frilly dress and a beach hot sat on top of her long blonde locks of hair.
as she made her way around the people as children laughed and ran around her she noticed that the people started decreasing as they departed slowly but surely. when most of the streets became less and less full of people she came to a conclusion they had started the playing the movie.
while she walked towards the movie room she caught sight of her sister who was walking alone, her arms wrapped around herself. lola quickly held onto her belt strap that her knife was attached to and started jogging towards her sister.
"hey," lola breather out as she slowed down so she was walking side by side with her older sister. "where's henry?"
"he had to do something," lydia said, rubbing her thin arms as she shrugged. "said to save him a seat."
lola nodded as they walked up the steps of the movie room, as the air became stuffy as they walked into the room that had rows of the red cushion seats that people started filling up. the bright lights made lola squint slightly as she passed through the people to sit on the first row, while lydia sat on the second seat of the first row, keeping her promise of saving a seat for henry. once the two sisters settled into the rather comfortable seats the lights turned off and the room erupted with cheers and and laughter as the people clapped their hands together.
