Not everything will be accurate ( history wise )

It was in 1955 on November the 1st when the Vietnam army went to go fight for there independence and won against the Americans. In 1956 on December the 2nd the brave soldiers who fought in the war were able to go home but those who had died had even been able to go home.... but spiritually.

Y/n sat in the kitchen sitting on the edge of her chair listening in for those who had survived the war and those who had past, the radio flickered on as a man's voice was heard

( this is him speaking in bold )

Adam Hallison dead
George Nio alive
Jay Sone Olide alive
Kale Hisq dead
Kenneth Husk

Y/n quickly turned to volume up on the radio on the verge on tears " Kenneth Husk... alive " it felt like the world turned upside down for y/n, she snatched the radio twirling around hugging it into her chest, making her dress gracefully wave around a little from her twirling around. She grabbed her sun hat that was placed upon the kitchen counter and dashed to the front of her house.

It was already sundown and still no sign of her dearly beloved husband, after 2 hours of waiting she got one of Kenneth's trenches on over her shoulders whilst she sat on their bricked mailbox reading ' Payton Place ' by Grace Metalious. From a distance y/n could hear the sound of a buses engine going the street, curious to see if it was her husband's she peeked her head up form her book. It was this was the war bus that drove the soldiers to their houses. Ecstatic y/n jumped off the mail box dusting off her dress as she clenched the trench close to her. Her eyes sparkled with joy and excitement as the bus pulled up slowly. The bus doors creaked open revealing Kenneth, Kenneth turned to the bus man and his fellow soldiers waving them goodbye as he walked off the bus making it drive off.

-Husk's POV-
I stepped off the bus waving goodbye to my fellow soldiers one last time knowing I'd probably never see them again. The bus drove off leaving me alone, I took a deep breathe of the fresh county air taking it all in. This was the first time in basically a year since I had been back since I'd seen my small house, since I've seen the gravely road since I've seen her... I look over at our mailbox feeling as if I'm not alone and I see her.. y/n. Her face light up tears of joy as I ran up to her wrapping my arms around her waist, lifting her up slightly and spinning her around. " my love I've missed you so much " this made y/n giggle and her cheeks go a soft tinted pink, " siempre estaré a tu lado mi amor, desde la boda hasta la tumba " ( translate: I will always be by your side my love, from the wedding to the grave )
