Chapter 1 // Poker face

I fixed my hair a bit. Curled the ends a bit before leaving my condo. Saglit lang naman ang byahe from school to my condo so I had time to freshen up before heading out again. I also made sure to list down a new To Do list for school kasi baka makalimutan ko mga gusto kong gawin. I still have my priorities straight. Kasama nga lang talaga study and party balance hahahaha

I locked my door and met Kevin outside. My other close friend who's also a party animal.

He whistled, "Wow, you're hot", looking at me like a barcode scanner from bottom to the top.

I'm now wearing a dark high waisted jeans with a black and white gingham ruffled off-shoulder top. A simple black strappy 2-inch heels, 1 choker, 1 necklace and stud earrings to complete the look. I was already wearing a bit of make up so I just had to curl my lashes and reapply my lipstick and lipgloss.

"Hah. You too."

"Alam ko naman, ako lang to"

"You're so kupal din talaga, no?"

"You're so conyo rin, no? the fuck."

I laughed a slapped his shoulder as I got to him. Gago din 'tong isang to eh. Wala nang filter pag dating sakin. This is how close we are and I like it that way. We've been blockmates before but also have different schedules now. Our personalities just clicked and I had an instant care taker when I'm drunk when Em can't. The same din naman for him but I don't mind. I like taking care of my friends.

We got to his car and drove to the bar where we got invited. It's friday so we expected that it'll be crowded.

The noise was already evident outside. Chatters from groups of people because there were also a few bars around it. It wasn't an isolated one. I checked my lipstick in the mirror before I went down.

"Perfect.", then closed my purse quickly. Kevin was staring at the bag or I think into thin air. "Earth to Kev?", I snapped my fingers in front of his face. Yeah, he's dozing off.

"Oh, may naisip lang ako bigla," ani niya ng tumingin na sa paligid. "Let's go. Em is how many minutes away?"

"She said 5 minutes so she must be here."

"Kevin Harvey Flores and Aurelia Jane Hernandez?", ani Kev sa bouncer. Seems like there's a lot going on inside. Maybe two events at once. I don't mind since I just wanna have fun with my friends.

I deserve to be free from my acads for a while. I deserve to feel stress-free. I deserve to be free.

Pinapasok na kami at nakita ko na kung gano kadami yung tao. It's not that crowded outside the dancefloor tho so it's all good.

Nagtama na ng tingin sakin si Em. She was just holding beer. Good. We should last the whole night hahaha its just around 9:40pm. We should at least reach 1am, right?

I walked towards her, nodding a bit at people who called my name to acknowledge their presence. Seems like there's a few people who are high class in this bar, I wonder if I could befriend some of them for connection? 

"Rel! Kev! I just got here too, what drinks do you want?" 

"Anything but hard drinks, let's save that for later. Is it always this crowded here?", I ask as I look around. "Just beer for now, too", sabi ni Kevin, already taking a seat on the couch.

"Not really, minsan lang ganito. I have a great feeling that we'll move later, bakit ganon?", ani Em nang tumatawa. Yeah, maybe. Em is like a sister to me now, so we pretty much stick together unless she has a hook-up whenever we're out to party. Whenever we get bored at a party, we move to another one to see if it's more fun. It happens 60% of the time that's why we don't bother to wear high heels hahahaha
