043 - constellation

have you ever wondered how sailors,
or lost people at sea,
track their path back to where they wanted?
knowing where south and east is,
without using a compass?

constellations.
a group of stars forming into recognisable pattern.
some people say it's bullshit,
because it is identified with the mythological figure.

but somehow,
it made sense to me.
even when i was a little child,
i was so fascinated by the stars.
i look up to find them whenever i got the chance to.
i am always so drawn to them;
i still am.

something about stars,
always lead me back home.

they moved, we moved,
we broke apart, they stayed.
we are the same, but we will never be the exact.

i guess because of my obsession too,
i tried to replicate something so out of this world,
and projected it into everything i have ever loved.

but my mistake was,
i never realised that the stars,
doesn't shine forever.

it will one day burn out,
fall apart,
scattered across the galaxy,
into tiny, tiny pieces,
going through endless wormholes,
disappearing into thin air,
dissolve,
collapses,
and expload into a layer of 'supernova'.

ever so slightly,
the stars will always remain enchanting.

remember that we made a promise under a tree?
gazing at the stars once again,
the old hymms of my childhood.

oh no, this person isn't anyone else,
it is no one else but myself.

i promised to not lost myself in the process of finding,
what i want,

but am i still whole?
there are the stars again,
looking down at me,
the lights are dimmed.
the moon is nowhere to be found.

why did you lose yourself?
for someone who's afraid to sacrifice,
a part of themselves,
for you?

everything here is temporary,
the stars isn't an exception.
we, who are beautiful but felt nothing.
the stars, that is beautiful but there is nothing.

still, each time waking up at dawn,
seeing the stars disappearing,
watching the dawn spread,
i witnessed my dreams run wild.

i learned to breathe.
i remember now;
why hell was a lesser choice back then.
