Oakley's POV
*2 weeks later*
I looked down at the paper that sat in front of me on my desk. It was only two weeks into the school week and I was already failing.
This had been the second test that we had took this week and the second test that I had gotten less than a 50% on.
If that didn't tell you had bad I was at math I don't know what would.
As I was looking over my mistakes the bell rung signaling the end of class.
Gathering my things I threw my bag over my shoulder, sliding out of my seat and into the isle behind the rest of the kids trying to pile out of the class room.
As soon as I got to the front of the classroom and past all the desk my teacher, Mrs. Swan, looked up from her desk.
"Oakley, may I talk to you for a second?" She questioned.I nodded my head walking over to her desk. She folded her hands on top of her desk, looking at me from above her glasses.
"This is the second test that you've failed this week, and they have most been review from what you've learned the previous year. Did you at all study the packet that I had given out?" She questioned.
"Y-yeah?" I stated as more of a question rather than a statement.
I actually didn't study for either of the tests.
Elliot had been having some hard times during the night with sleeping at all meaning I didn't really have any time to study.
"Listen, Oakley, I know you're a good student but I also know that you struggle a lot in this specific subject."
"I mean yeah," I nodded. "But it's only 2 weeks into the school week."
She nodded. "That's what's concerning me. These test should've been an easy ace considering it's nothing new, but I also know that you were doing online classes, which could've made the subject ten times harder."
I looked down at the ground, you have no idea.
She took a deep breath. "So, because I know you and I know that you're a good student that's just struggling, I want to offer you some help. Especially since this is your senior year." Before she could say another word the same blue eyed, handsome guy that had saved me on the first day of school, appeared in the door way.
He looked at both of us. Mrs. Swan stood out of her chair. "Drake come in please." She welcomed him in.
"Drake this is Oakley, Oakley this is drake." She introduced us.
Drake walked over holding out his hand with a smirk. I placed my hand in his, giving it a small shake before ripping away from his grip as electricity shot through me.
I looked over to Mrs. Swan. "Mrs. Swan I don't need help, I just needed a little refresher. I'll be fine." I told her. It's not that I didn't want the help, I just didn't want it from him.
Drake looked between us slightly confused. "Oakley, I want to believe you but as I said, it's your senior year. I don't want it getting to far into the year where we can't do anything to help you."
" Uh can I be let in on what's going on?" Drake questioned.
Mrs. Swan chuckled. "Drake, Oakley here is having a little trouble this year and since you seem to one of my best students I was wondering if you would be willing to tutor her?"
I looked up from the ground over to Drake who held a smirk on his face. I wanted to wipe that smirk off his face. I could feel the judgement radiating off of him.
