Lying in a puddle of your own sweat was probably the least desirable way to wake up from a nightmare. You could feel your heart beating against your ribcage and your tank top sticking to your back.
The more you tried to remember what your nightmare was about, the more you forgot. This left you with a feeling of inexplicable fear. Quickly, you reached from your phone to check the time.

Your scrolled through your contacts, searching for someone to talk to. You couldn't call your parents and you couldn't call your friends, they would all surely be asleep by now.
The deafening silence in your dorm room made your heart beat even faster. The room was washed over in darkness, with the exception of moonlight trickling in from the window and your phone screen.
You scrolled through one last time, your eyes landing on a certain name, Miles.
Maybe it was the growing anxiousness of being in the dark room all on your own, or the sheer desperation for human contact after the nightmare you just had, but our decided to message him.
