"if i could i would never let you down"

NONA, the Fate of beginning life, had been staring hard at MOANA's life tapestry for a long time. she felt as though something was missing. something was wrong. MOANA wasn't as happy as she could be.

Nona sighed loudly, attracting the attention of DECIMA, the fate of determining life spans, busily measuring the lengths of strings that were to be used for the next life tapestry.

"what's gotten you so down?" Decima asked Nona, nudging her head towards the Fate that was desperately clutching onto the life tapestry that was being weaved.

"it just doesn't seem right," Nona answered, brushing her hand over the beautiful woven piece, "shes accomplished so much, but she's still not happy."

the Fate pouted, looking at Decima pleadingly and Decima immediately shook her head, knowing what her sister was about to say.

"no. you are not going to let them return in time, just to resolve their love issues," Decima pointed to the scene by which JENO and MOANA had broken up, "they made their choice then. and they'll have to stick to it."

"besides, have you forgotten what happened the last time you altered a tapestry?" MORTA, the Fate of ending one's life entered, looking as if she was about to end Nona's life if she wasn't immortal. "i had to fix it on my own because it untangled the original life tapestry and formed a hybrid piece. she could have died! and do you know how it's like to untangle two life tapestries of the same person and completely tarnish the new one? some memories don't fully disintegrate!"

Nona looked to the floor sheepishly, her eyes tearing up, "but but, they have regrets- yea and we have jobs," Morta cut her off, "we can't change their lives as we please or just because we want to. they've decided what they did and they have to pay the consequences of their actions."

the tension was quickly escalating in the spindle room as Morta was glaring at Nona for being so soft-hearted. Decima quickly cut the tension by pulling the Morta out of the room with an excuse that she needed to get new needles for the spindle.

"you know if you're always so harsh on her, she wont care," Decima told Morta, trying to reason with the Fate that was so uptight with her sister. "i know what she's doing is wrong, but cant you phrase it better?"

"i can't let her take me lightly," Morta sighed, explaining her side, "she has to learn to accept that humans are going to make mistakes that they have to learn and live with it in their lives. and it's not like they won't meet the same people again. if fate allows it, they'll meet again until they get together. and if it doesn't, then it was never meant to be."

Decima looked at her sister and ruffled her hair. Morta was always trying to be so strong, to ensure that everything was in order so all three of them wouldn't have to overwork themselves. but that made her detached from emotions. which wasn't particularly good.

"oh why are you growing up so fast," Decima swung her arm around her sister's shoulder, "aren't you tired of having to keep us together?"

Morta shrugged, "its what i have to do. otherwise, we all pay the price for screwing up a life."

Decima shook her head lovingly, appreciating that Morta was always the one keeping them all in check.
