So, chaptbother is here. Sidhe left me with a good chapter to write. That previous chapter was amazing! But anyway, I've written this one. In this particular chapter, I am going to explore Logan and Helen a bit more than usual so please be aware of that. Hope you enjoy it and thanks!

Logan

The sun had started to beam down on the plaza where Phoenix and Nina were starting to investigate. I sat alone on a bench, watching the two of them talk through their pieces of evidence, ones ideas overlapping with the others. Each idea forming more ideas and suspicions. But there could only be one correct answer.

Nina's friend came and sat on the same bench and looked in my direction, 'I'm Helen. You haven't spoken much during our time together as a group. What's wrong?'

'Nothing. I'm fine, but I'm worried about your friend. She shouldn't be in a place like New York, you sure don't look like natives. Phoenix and I can handle this. Just don't take any risks, that's all I'm saying. I'm Logan by the way.'

Helen then looked back at the two of them working hard on the matter, 'No. This is what Nina loves to do. And I can't stop her. I can set boundaries and try to help her into the right path, but she will always like doing this. And Phoenix works well with her. My worry lies with Phoenix. I think it's risky business.'

I laughed, 'Haha. Phoenix may seem a bit intimidating at first, but he is fine when you get to know him. Trust me, you're in safe hands'.

At that particular moment, Phoenix had whipped out a cigar and lit it, the smoke lingering in the air. Nina slightly coughed.

Helen and I moved closer to the two and had a look at what they had been up to. Lots of scattered pictures, drawings and maps all spaced on a wooden table. Germany had been highlighted on the map especially.

'So the killer is experienced, obviously knows how to stage a murder. But this had been planned for a while. Add this to my email I received and you'll find that the killer wants me. He desires something I have. This world is a dark place, a world you don't want to know,' Phoenix said to Nina.

'I'm not bothered by how dark this world is. We have a job to do, Phoenix.' She replied.

Helen looked back to me and clenched her teeth, 'Just make sure Nina doesn't get hurt. As long as that happens, I'm happy.'

But that was something I couldn't provide: safety. Maybe Phoenix could, but even he knew that we were all in for trouble.
