BANG! there was a loud sound coming from the west of the base. I look at Finn and Rey in fear and horror. THEY are here. here for her, for revenge...
We all rush to the comms room to send out the warning alarms for everyone to prepare. I turn to Rey and say "I probably should have mentioned this before but the first-order kind of ... you know... want you dead for killing Kylo ren.". she winces at the name 'Kylo Ren' but we had no time to argue about this now. she ignites her lightsaber. I lead a large team to where the explosion had come from.
I take Finn's hand and hold it, not knowing if we would all come out alive of this or not.
Rey's POV
Fear now creeping up inside my emotions. I never wanted to fight, not anymore. "we will be ok," I say to the baby through the force. There was the sound of an opening hatch. I inhale a sharp breath, my spine sending chills of fear down it. out from the haze, I see a red-headed man. "Hux" I mutter. his face had a spine-chilling scar all the way across his face.one of his eyes were filled with vengeance. he was ready to kill. Finn turns to me and says "Rey you need to hide, it's not safe here for you and the baby" he whispers so Poe wouldn't hear, but he does.
"Baby?!!!!" what baby? Rey..?" Poe asks urgently, turning towards me.
"Ok well I didn't mean for u to know this way but yes I'm pregnant. but I want to do this, for you guys," I reply.
"No Rey, this is not up for discussion. go to the falcon and set course for a planet in the outer rim. take this so we can find you when it's safe again.. ok?" Poe raises his eyebrows. he gives me the same cloaked binary beacon Leia had, not so long ago. there was no way I would be able to wriggle out of this one. I plan my escape sufficiently in my head. the falcon was not far from here. if I could just get there and they can buy me enough time then it would work.
"And Rey... congratulations," he says with a half-smile, I smile back at him. I take one last look at my two best friends knowing that I would definitely not return to the resistance now. I place my hand on my saber, readying for any attack. I sneak into the falcon. hiding at any corner I could.
I get to the ramp and press the button to activate the ramp. I hear footsteps behind me. "oh maker!" I curse. I turn slowly to see the read headed creep, Hux, behind me. His shadow, towering over my figure. I now come to face yo face with the one thing feared. Hux. The courage ripping look in his eyes shook my confidence. I could run. But he would find me.
I ignite my lightsaber, readying my stance.
"We meet again... child. you can't escape now. not even if you tried." he says devilishly. he begins to circle me. like I was his prey. I try to keep myself for looking confident but I was failing miserably. with one swipe of my saber Hux's arm was on the floor. I dare not say anything. he falls. as he clutches his arm or what used to be arm in agony. I run into the falcon, pressing the button to bring up the ramp before any of the backup came.
BOOM!!! there was a huge explosion. My body jumps at the unexpectedness.
I wince at the sight of his remains. thinking on top of my feet: I rush to the falcon and set course for Achto. it was the only place that came to my mind in such short notice. knowing that the image of Hux's bodily remains scattered everywhere would never leave my mind. I sit back in the chair, once again cradling my child. whenever I do this I always get a sense of peace and my heart swells.
I start thinking about ben. it's been 14 weeks since he gave his life up for mine. I smile at the memory of our kiss, that soon turned into tears. knowing, he may never actually see his child. or would he? my eyes begin to become heavy with tears still in them. as sleep take me for the thousandth time.
One trip to achto later...
I land the falcon on the rocky landscape. I head up the never-ending stairs, my satchel in hand, with some bigger clothes for me to wear inside it. I managed to get ahold of them just before the attack. my current clothes were definitely too tight.
I stop halfway. as my body could no longer take the strain and was making me feel lightheaded. I sat down upon the cold, hard step beneath my two feet and search into the horizon. the sun was just beginning to set. leaving a dainty array of colours and afterglow. the sun, a gem gleaming in the sky, brightening up the landscape around me.
After hours of taking the steps up to the huts, I had finally made it. I collapse on the Creaky, rustic, old bed. I open my satchel to check to see if all of the credits were still there and they were. but I saw something extraordinary and eye-opening.
The amulet. it was glowing, a bright purple. I had never seen anything like it before, not even in the texts.
