Everything is dark. You float within the darkness, weightless, but able to breathe. You weren't underwater, you weren't in space. What dark place could you possibly be?

Nowhere.

You were literally in the essence that is nothing. It surrounded you, leaving nothing to see or feel but void. You felt on edge and weary for whatever tricks this place may have. Something grabbed at your ankle, and in the darkness, you couldn't make out what it was. But it you had a feeling it wasn't something there for the good of your being. You reached down, feeling along your leg and down to the object that held your ankle. Leg. Calf. Fingers. Foot. Fingers? It was then that you discovered it was a hand. Anxiety grew and spread through your veins and within your stomach and spine. You continued to feel along the hand, to its wrist and forearm, down to the elbow, where it suddenly ended. It was a disembodied hand, and you could only hope there weren't more. But, of course, there just had to be more. Your surroundings turned red as hands stuck out from the sea of red and grabbed, scratched, and clawed at your figure. They latched onto whatever they could, whether it be your arms, your neck, your face, your torso, your legs; anything. They kept coming, crowding your vision with nothing but hands and the blood red void that surrounded you. You screamed and cried out, begging whatever or whoever was out there to help you. A hand seized your lips, clasping over your mouth to silence your screams. Tears ran down your face, and hands seized your eyes in hopes of making you stop. You squirmed and shook, trying with everything you had within you to escape, but more hands reached out and clutched your limbs, rendering you useless. They drug you down, down deeper into the crimson beyond that awaited you.

And you screamed louder than you ever had before.

You awoke screaming and squirming as Scout and Sniper stood above you, holding you down as Medic tried to inject you with something. The moment your eyes flew open, Sniper called out, "They're awake!" to which Medic jerked the needle away from your skin, promptly tossing it aside. Grabbing your shoulders, Medic looked into your panicked eyes and exclaimed. "Y/N, I need jou to calm down and breathe!" You tensed up as you tried to get control of yourself and your panic, trying your best to concentrate on inhaling and exhaling. As you declined from your anxiety high and settled down, you pushed yourself away from the mercenaries, trying to gain some open space. Luckily they got the message and backed up, allowing you the room to breathe. You clutched your chest and did your best to focus on your breathing, and when you were finally somewhat calm you groaned and shakily wiped away your tears. So much for showing them I'm not some weakling. But uh, what the hell was any of that? Why did I wake up like... THAT? Also, what the hell happened before I got here? Okay- yeah, I remember what happened. But what the actual FUCK was that?! There were so many thoughts and questions that you wanted- needed answers to. But you decided to start with the one that you felt needed immediate answering. "What- what the hell were you going to inject me with?" You rasped, still panting from your harsh awakening. "It vas a drug zhat vould have temporarily paralyzed jou. Jou vere shaking and squirming so much, I thought zhat vould stop it so jou could rest properly." Medic stated in a matter-of-factly tone. You looked at him, wide-eyed, and then glanced at Scout and Sniper. Scout held up his hands in a gesture of surrender. "Hey! I didn't know that was what it was! If I knew, I would've stopped him!" You rubbed your eyes and held your face in your hands, which muffled your reply. "No, it's fine, it's fine. It's just-" You dragged your hands down your face, placing them in your lap as you looked up at them, your expression filled with worry. "-How long have I been out? Is Spy okay? What the hell did I do? What the hell even happened?" You held your hand to your mouth, as you were ashamed and shocked at what you had done. You were scared of yourself. Great, just great. Add that to the long list of things I'm afraid of.
