Talking Politics

41 11 6

And the light seeps through the dimly lit streets
I rest my soul in this somber layer of sheets
Crestfallen and dismayed by the many's misdeeds
Crave the justice we wanted for our nation's needs
They're talking politics whilst my ear start to bleed
From the contrasting truths, the lies sprout like weeds

Cursed by our own kin, we grieve for the loss of a great symbol
The flag we once proudly looked up to, stained red by the blood of the people
Mga tala na kumikinang sa langit tila namamatay dahil sa duguang araw na nagsisibol
Ang aking patnubay ay ang galit ng masa na kasing ingay ng tumitibok na tambol

The terror is out
Watch for your back
The darkness looms
It'll abscond you, out of sight
You'll be gone soon
Not out of fright
Pray for your safety
Pray for your sanity
Pray for this country
The talking politics
Of liars and charlatans
Will be the nation's
Warmongering blight
We are the people;
This is our safety
This is our sanity
This is our country
This?

This is our fight
