-"Admit it, this technically half Italian dude facing you makes the most to-die-for drinks in the whole city" Angelo smirked as he gulped down the last drops of his Roy Rogers cocktail,

-"Whoa, slow it down there, ego pants!" cheerfully I replied, another giggle escaped my mouth, brightening the gloomy mood enclosing us and the empty tables and chairs, I noticed a flashlight beaming from his pocket along with a clear sound of vibration,

-"Ang in here, " he replied swiftly after snatching the phone out of his pocket while picking up his empty glass, and rinsing in it down in the sink, he placed his phone on the left shoulder with his head tilted to the same side keeping it tight, he mouthed to me

"Drink up" and pointed towards the sitting cocktail between my hands.

"There are other plans for this cocktail, and one of them is not to take a single sip of it," I thought to myself very sincerely,

Angelo had a strange look on his face when he hung up, his brown eyes twinkled, lips pursed in a thin line, he had a sharp jaw along with matching cheekbones, short but thick eyelashes, and curly fluffy hair, he looked very young and fresh, dragging his feet towards the dressing room he called: "I'm done for the night" then added "Come up, there are a couple of extra umbrellas behind the ... " he stopped for a second, then shouted again "aha! found them",

I thought about telling him what happened yesterday, but then quickly I pushed the idea away since I was still trapped in the cage of doubt.

By the time he returned to the counter bar, I was still fixed on my chair, my middle finger circling the ginger cocktail glass in front of me, millions of ideas running through my head like comet showers, an eager need for an explanation burning through me.

-"Here the yellow one's for me the purple for ... " he checked the backdoor holding both umbrellas underneath his left arm, then he paused as he noticed my state.

-"You staying?"

-"Right, " I said, in a short brief answer.

he walked forward towards me and stepped closer, giving me a reassuring look,

-"Never been much of talker, Ruby girl" a fading smile dancing on his lips with a tap on my shoulder, he dropped the purple umbrella on the lonely chair beside me,

And at that moment I was simply grateful for people like Angelo, people who truly respect your silence and the way your character is built, then I sensed a cold blow of wind smacking my knees, hence I knew

he was gone, and that I was alone in what looks to be now a deserted coffee shop,

I stood on my feet slowly, feeling the rush of the blood through my veins, I went to the backdoor checking if it was safely locked, there were no signs of other staff members back in the cleaning room, which meant I indeed was alone in this place.

Heading towards the front section of the shop, I checked all the tables and chairs, wiped all of their surfaces with the sink towel then I drew the curtains they were black, made of high-quality fabric, it was silky yet had a texture of velour to it, smooth to touch.

By 4 pm the sky was getting darker, and the rain continued to pour but it poured much softly than before, the sounds of it kept me company as I moved around the shop, and then lastly when all the tables were clean and the chairs were flipped, I made sure the open sign was flipped so that it was revealing the closed side.

The ginger cocktail was still exactly the way Angelo placed it then, I began to arrange the pieces of yesterday's puzzle inside my head.

Undeniably, there must've been something swinging around in this place,
