Chapter 18 -

OLIVIA'S POV

my eyes flutter open, light seeping in from my curtains.....wait why am i in my bedroom (alone) please say i didn't dream last night suddenly my phone that was sitting on my bedside table buzzed

hey we have a case sorry i know it was your day off.

i sighed before replying

okay ill be in soon.

i slowly stumbled out of bed as i heard the front door open and shut, i grabbed my gun and crept down the hall way "who's there?" i yelled as i saw Spencer walked around the corner...as he registered the gun in my hands his look turned to surprised "Olivia its only me" Spencer said putting his hands up as to surrender "oh s-sorry i t-thought you were a r-robber or something worse" i stuttered Spencer walked up to me taking the gun out of my hands and pulled me into a hug.

we stood there in each others embrace for about 5 minutes before i reluctantly pulled away "i need to go get dressed we have a case" i said Spencer nodded and smiled as i walked back into my room, i took a quick shower before changing into a navy blue dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black dress pants and black ankle boots i then applied my make-up and walked into the kitchen to see Spencer pouring coffee into two travel mugs.

"hey ready to go?" Spencer asked as he handed me a travel mug

"yup"i replied simply while we walked out the door

we walked into the BAU hand in hand smiling like crazy people

"good you two are here, meeting room in 5 minutes" JJ said before walking off

"is it just me or does JJ seem in a rush?"i asked turning to look at Spencer

"i don't know, maybe shes just stressed but lets go to meeting room" Spencer exclaimed as we walked to the meeting room

before we entered the room Spencer and I parted hands our, sadness washed over me as i felt the heat from Spenser's hand leave me. we took our seat, as usual i sat between Spencer and Morgan, as soon as Hotch walked in JJ began to speak "okay in orange county, California two girls went missing, this morning one of the two girls turned up dead"JJ explained as a picture of a pale girl showed up on the screen "the cause of death was cyanide poisoning but she also sustained a blunt force trauma to the back of the head." JJ finished 'do we have a name?" Rossi asked looking up from the folder "yes Brooke Walters and the girl that's still missing is April Johnson, April Johnson's parents received a letter saying that they would get a call at 8:00 tonight most likely from our unsub" JJ explained "okay wheels up in 10 we are going to have to work fast on this case we don't know how long she will be alive or how long until the unsub finds a new victim"Hotch said as we all left the room.
