Winter is my favourite season,
I do not know why.
Maybe it's the cozy glow
caused by the overcast sky.
Perhaps it's the rare times
I got to experience snow,
or maybe it's laying inside,
curled up with a cup of cocoa.
Or maybe it's being protected from the cold
by a warm blanket and sweater.
Maybe the things that give us joy after
depriving us of it, seem less bitter.
