Valentina Volkov (Florence Pugh) ventures to space for her country, the Soviet Union, to help them beat the United States and China in the Space Race. Set in the 1940s, Valentina boards her ship alone with no one but a talking computer to keep company. There are only two music records she can play, only one type of food she can eat and only five things she does in a day. She wakes up, eats, attends her daily mental exam, tends to the vegetable plants and then goes to sleep.
One night, Valentina has a nightmare that her ship experiences a massive failure leaving a hole right next to her nook. After that night, everything seemed to change.
Like I said, it probably won't be published for a while and I don't know if it'll be a short story or an actual book since there's probably going to be a lot of boring stuff. There also isn't going to be a love interest so idk if y'all are into that or not.
