Master Makarov had gathered everyone in the guild hall attendance by all members was mandatory to all currently not out on a quest. The guild as rowdy as usual was all there but soon fell silent upon seeing all of Fairy Tail's S-Class Wizards standing in the balcony above the bar. Makarov spoke
"My children, it is time again for the S-Class Wizard Trials.This years events will take place on our sacred grounds of Tenrou Island. I am here to announce this year's candidates that will compete against the S-Class Wizards." He cleared his throat as he began to list the candidates
"Lucy Heartfilia"
"Gray Fullbuster"
"Gajeel Redfox"
"The Thunder Legion"
"Natsu Dragneel"
"Juvia Lockser"
"Elfman Strauss"
"Cana Alberona"
"Levy Macgarden"
"Mest Gryder"
"One and only one of you will become Fairy Tail's next S-Class Wizard." Makarov continues
"Now all you make your preparations we leave tomorrow." He said with am inspirational yet firm voice.
From across the room
"Hey Gramps hold up a minute will ya?" Natsu said as he approached Makarov.
Following right behind where the rest of team Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Gray, Juvia *oddly hovering behind Gray*, Happy, Carla, and Wendy.
"So Gramps why didn't you pick Wendy to go with us she's a Dragon-Slayer after all?" He said clearly trying to pick something out of his teeth.
*Wendy blushing with embarrassment frantically waving her arms around*
" Guys it's fine I promise....... There's always next time.... I'll be okay we can have a picnic or something when you all get back"
She said frantically before Natsu put his hand on her head hushing the rambling Dragon-Slayer.
"Ya sure I'm sure we can ware out the old man" He said in a calming voice bringing a slight blush to the Sky maidens face.
" A PICNIC!!!!!!!!! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO HAVE A PICNIC!!!!!!!!!" Erza shouted before wiggling around as if boneless with a great big smile on her face slightly creeping everyone out.
"Well looks like you hit her started now....." Lucy stated, sighing as she was annoyed.
" Looks like you have to put a picnic together now Wendy" Natsu said with his signature grin on his face
Makarov paused for a moment and then proceeded to say,
"Though Wendy is a capable Dragon-Slayer and talented healer I've had my mind well made up before she even joined us........ I'm sorry but my decision is final."
*Turning to Wendy*
"Prove to me and all of Fairy Tail that you are a dedicated member and I promise that next year you can come with us as a candidate my child" Makarov promised in his usual soothing father like voice.
*Wendy nodding in approval*
"Okay I will and don't worry Erzzy I'll make it the best picnic ever!!!" The Bluenette said bringing a fist up to her chest with determination in her eyes.
*Erza drools uncontrollably*
And just like that all involved set off to Tenrou Island set to return in One Month
(One month after the departure to Tenrou)
Wendy awakens eagerly as she knows that later today everyone is supposed to be returning from the S-Class trials. The Bluenette had been waiting for this day in anticipation of seeing her friends. She leaped out of bed and let out a good stretch. Readying her self to head out, she puts on her favorite green dress humming the whole time. Carla wakes up and turns to Wendy with a baffled look upon her face
