FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO ARE GONNA BE LIKE 'tf is this crazy set up' ITS A STILL LIFE ;-; (you combine random objects together in a scene and draw what you see in front of you)
yes I got assigned a freaking horse skull, but yes, it's also the best part.
I don't like charcoal but this was for a camp I went to last summer eye—
charcoal is so MESSY and DOESNT ERASE. I used charcoal shavings/powder and pencils for this. kneaded erasers were a blessing though.
hardest part was the details of the skull, because if you zoom in (i don't think you can) there's a crap ton of details in it. i'm a sucker for details ;)

1. how long does a drawing take? depends but I can go through the list of ones i've posted so far :)
-sunset: 5 hours-ish (split over like three days because my patience📉📉) -fish: 4 hours -horse: 4 hours -mushroom: 2 hours -lips: 3 hours-ish (I had to split over two days so I can't remember exactly) -face: 1.5 hours :) -mots:7: 4 hours-ish (lots of breaks because the frustration📈📈)
-this charcoal one: 20+ hours O_o
^^thats like setting up the scene, lighting fixtures, sketching, drawings, sealing... but yeah a full week in the studio with like five hours a day(?)
I remember being the last one to finish and I spent all my free time during my camp that specific week working on this bad boy smh. my dormmates would come and visit me in the studio LOL
