RESETS

Everyone sad down while Sans stared at the ground not knowing how to start. Everyone looked at him, waiting impatiently

Undyne was about to shout at him to hurry up but Frisk stopped her and signed

'This is really hard for him to talk about. Be patient'

Undyne sighed and rested her head on her fist.

Sans clenched his hands together in his pockets, all the memories coming back to him. Genocide...Papyrus dying. Frisk crying. Toriels dust. Undyne melting. Mettaton explodeding! The hall...

He had never gone back. Too many fights, too many memories. He had no idea how many RESETS had happend but he was sure it was thousands! He and Frisk had been stuck for so long. How could he tell them any of this? He felt a hand rest on his shoulder and looked up to see his brother who was looking at him reassuringly

"DO NOT WORRY BROTHER. WE ARE YOUR FAMILY. WE WILL NOT BE MAD AT YOU. HOW COULD THE GREAT PAPYRUS EVER BE MAD AT HIS BROTHER UNLESS HE IS MAKING A PUN OR BEING LAZY" He said confidentiality. That got a chuckle out of Sans

"Thanks bro" He repplied

Sans stared up at his friends now, who were waiting for him to start. He saw Frisk giving him a reassuring smile which helped him to calm down

"Well where do I start?" He questioned looking back to everyone. Undyne was getting really impatient

"Maybe at the start?" She said sarcastically. Frisk glared at her but otherwise didn't sign anything

Toriel put a hand on her shoulder to try and calm her down while Alphys gave her a timid hug. That made her blush a bit and momentarily forget about Sans. Well momentarily

"Okay. This is all going to so crazy so belive me when I say I'm telling the truth" Sans said and received nodds from everyone

"You see...we were all stuck in time for years"

The room was quite, you could probably hear a pin drop. Alphys looked the most shocked as she tried to process what Sans had just said. The others just looked confused

"W-Wa?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN STUCK IN TIME!?" Undyne screamed. Sans didn't flinch though he stood up, challenging her

"I mean we were stuck in a time loop for years" He said in the most calm voice. Undyne only seemed to get angrier and angrier but before she could speak, Papyrus chipped in

"UNDYNE PLEAS CALM DOWN. IM SURE SANS WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING, RIGHT BROTHER?" He asked, looking at Sans' direction. Sans gave a nodd and they both sat down with a huff

"H-How i-is that p-p-posible?" Alphys asked, beside herself with questions. Sans just sighed and cradled his skull in one hand with a tired look on his face

"Okay so in order for this to make sense I'm gonna have to go waaaaaay back in history. Where all this started. And it all starts with Chara" Sans said, watching at Toriel gasped. The goat women looked at Sans with wide eyes but Sans now avoided her look

"C-Chara. But how she...d-died" Toriel said stiffly. Frisk hugged her mom and tried to comfort her but it didn't really work

"Well yes, she's at the root of it all. She's responsible for the loop" Sans said.

"When Chara was killed her soul remained for a while. Because human souls are stronger than monster souls, they can persist after death. Now I don't know what happend but I belive that Chara's soul was taken over by something that she had had since the surface. Hate"Sans explained, examining all of their faces and seeing the confusing stares
