Kirito drove the sharpened stake through the recently dug up earth barrier as he finished the final spike barrier. He grunted as he straightened out and as he looked around, he hoped maybe four of these barriers would be enough to dissuade the Rangers, Bandits, Raiders, or Infected from coming close.SpartanHalo had called back and had told them they had been sucessful with the assault on the hotel. Kirito had told them what had happened so far and SpartanHalo had merely said, "Lets hope DarkOne keeps his promise."
Kirito walked from the spike barried as he walked up the steps and into the city hall as he opened up one of the doors and slowly walked inside. Agil had created from some splintered wood and concrete a shelving for the weapons and he had set up the armor and clothing in a nearby shelf. He was currently looking over the guide for the server and as Kirito sat down in a nearby chair, he noticed that out in the boss room Agil had set up some some simple, rolled out beds on the floor and he saw one had SF024 in one, with Yui tending to his wounds over him.
"She's been keeping SF024 well. He should be back up after maybe a few more day and night cycles." Agil said from the table as he flipped over another page.
"Has she become our official medic all of a sudden?" Asked Kirito wearily.
Agil looked up at him and gave a small nod of his head.
Kirito sighed as his back ached and his body dully throned from having to make the spike barriers and as he looked at the table, he saw some things on it. They looked like very squat cans and had what looked like pressure plates on the top. "What are those, Agil?"
"That's what I'm looking for... Ah-ha!" He set the book down as he gingerly picked up one of the devices and Kirito managed to reach over and pick the book up. He looked at the schematic and read the top of the page: "Scrap, Bottle-Cap Mine."
"Mines? That's a new one. Should we set these out right now?" Asked Kirito as he picked one up, careful not to hetouch the pressure plate on top.
"I think we should wait. This says these can be set up in multiple ways, everything from minefields to booby-traps." Agil said as he set the mine he held down.
Kirito put the one mine down as he said, "I think I'm gonna go to Fort Wasteland tonight and finish what Kommando293 started."
Agil looked up in shock as he asked Kirito, "Are you crazy? You could be discovered!!!"
"What if I borrow one of those official Ranger Uniforms?"
Agil looked ready to say an argument when he realized What Kirito was going to do and then he thought some before he said, "Don't be a hero."
Kirito nodded as he took up a nearby uniform and armor and stripped what he had off as he slipped into the Ranger outfit and prepared himself for the task ahead.
Kirito walked towards the gate as he tried to puff out his chest and look like every other Ranger he had seen with overconfident swaggers. He held on himself a assault rifle that was rusted but somehow it was still considered functioning. Infected Bane was still strapped on his back and as he slowly approached the gates, he watched as one guard looked over and saw him.
"Hey! What are you doing in there?"
Kirito stopped as he looked up and the guard motioned over the wall and then, slowly, the gates swung open as a small squad of five Ranger soldiers came over and escorted him from the city.
"What on earth were you doing there? This is a place for the newbies." One Ranger chuckled as Kirito soon left the city and entered the outskirts.
"Hey, I need a ride back to Fort Wasteland. I think I got something commander may like." Kirito tried to sound convincing as he shrugged his shoulders, the pack on his back laden with random crap they had found around the city hall.
