"Wait, I never caught your name, did I?" I asked as I ran up to stop him. Izuku turned to me and shrugged.
"I didn't throw it."I made my way closer to him before taking his hand and kissing it.
"Katsuki Bakugou." I said, looking into his emerald eyes.He gave me a sarcastic gasp, "No way-y'know, I think there's this Prince with the same name as you."
The carriage lords looked a bit taken aback at his obvious mocking but who the fuck am I to care? They're carriage lords. He wiped the fake shocked look off of his face and smiled, practically picking a fight with the moon's glow.
"Izuku Midoriya."
"Then until we meet again, Izuku."Izuku smiled before letting go of my hand and entering the carriage. The doors shut behind him and the carriage went off down the hill.
I stood there until they were out of sight, heart beating in my neck.I've met maybe hundreds-if not thousands-of people in my life but never someone so real. Authentic. Passionate and unique and-
"I knew what you were the moment I met you."
I turn around to see Mina standing there."Kiri told me you were out here. Said you looked quite...ah, what's the word?" she joked, putting a hand on her hip and looking up to the sky.
"Don't-"
"Smitten?"
"Pinky."
"Enamored?"
"Mina."
"In love~"She was probably the only person truly allowed to tease me, and she took great pride in it.
"I'll have him killed." I mumbled and with a dramatic flip of my cloak, I stormed past her.
She giggled, following me back towards the castle entrance."I suppose this means you'll want tomorrow's schedule cleared? To make space for some soulmate searching-did he leave a shoe behind for you to sweep the nation with?" she said. I tried to buck at her, but she remained unwavered.
"You are insufferable." I stated, knowing she wouldn't stop regardless.
Before I could reach for the railing, she grabbed my arm-again, something only she can do when my life isn't in immediate risk-and stepped in front of me.I stopped, looking down at her to see she still had her regular dopey smile.
Only this time her eyes were serious and I could tell she really wanted me to hear her out."If you really think he's the one, go get him. It's not everyday you find someone who can woo the infamous and ruthless Heartbreaker of Japan."
That was all she said before descending down the stairs, quickly being whisked away by someone who needed her.
...
It's not everyday.
Maybe this wasn't so bad of an idea.
