Introduction: Hanji Zoe

Hi, I'm Hanji Zoe, I am 19 years old and I am in the first year of college. I'm studying medicine, since my entire family works in that field. From my grandparents, to my uncles and aunts, my cousins, and my parents obviously. So, I am very familiar with hospitals and medicines. That and...because I myself suffer from an incurable disease: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or ALS for short. It's a disease that leads to muscle atrophy. I was diagnosed with it when I was 9 years old. However, the doctors, my father actually, said that it wouldn't show any symptoms until I was 18 to 20 years old. From there, my time was limited. About two years, maybe less. But I was fine with it. At least, I knew when I was going to die. My father, who is a neurologist, is responsible for my case. He told me everything about it, or at least I think he did. The cause of it is still unknown, since no one in my family had or has ALS. It sucks I know. But that's why I decided to enroll to med school. So that I can research about it myself and if I happen to live long enough (which is impossible) to be able to help others. But I guess that's my life. So, because of that, I decided to look on the bright side, to put up a facade of a person who accepted their fate, death. My mother calls me a hero for being strong. And now, I've just been used to it.

Three days ago I went to a pub with my best friend, Nanaba and her boyfriend. We have been together ever since I can remember myself. She knows about my condition but still remained in my life, while others left. That's where I met him, the man who would change my life. Who would make want to live, even though I cannot. Who will make me the happiest girl in the world....
