Telling the truth
"Why don't you tell us something about yourself?" Namjoon asked.
After our conversation with Yoongi, I really didn't feel like talking, but they were so kind to me and now they were all looking at me, I could see that they really cared."What do you want to know?" I asked.
"Jungkook told us you teach" Taehyung said. He was paying so much attention to me, he turned towards me completely.
"Yeah, I teach literature" I said.
"Do you like it?" Jin asked.
"I do, it's a great job, I love teaching. But sometimes it's hard to deal with kids." I answered. Mark came back to my mind. He really was dangerous. But he can't find me here. I'm safe. But if he does, then the guys are in danger too. Yoongi's right, I brought trouble to them.
"Are you alright?" Taehyung's voice pulled me back from my thoughts.
"Yes, sorry.""(y/n) can I ask you something?" Namjoon spoke up and his voice was very serious. I nodded in response.
"You said you found a note at your home. That's why you had to leave." I nodded. "How do you know it wasn't fake, that someone was playing you?" To be honest, I didn't even question the note. Perhaps I was so paranoid because of Mark, that I felt like it was true.
"It wasn't my home, it was one of my colleague's." I quickly corrected him. "I knew it because before I left the school, one of my students approached me with the idea of him visiting me. He's not a common kid..." I mumbled. I didn't know how to express him. "I don't know how to say this" I admitted.
"Is something wrong with him?" Jungkook asked and I could clearly hear the worry in his voice.
"I think so, yes" I said, still low. "He said that tonight is the chance to..." I stopped talking, searching for the right words. All the men were looking at me, patiently waiting for me to end the sentence. "He said this is a chance for our love, which of course isn't a thing. I don't have any special feelings for him, he's just one of my students."
"Do you think he'd come after you?" Jungkook asked so quickly, I barely stopped talking when he spoke up.
"Well, I think the note comes from him. But I have no idea how he found me." I shook my head, thinking hard about the answer.
"What about your colleague?" Jin asked.
"Jackson?""Maybe he told the student you're staying there." Jin said low, looking at his shoes.
"What? No. Never, he'd never. You don't know him." I protested. Jackson could never betray me. He isn't just my colleague, he's my friend. And he's a good person, he could never just throw me in danger. No, it could never happen. How could they assume this? They don't even know him.
"Look, I don't know how Mark found me" from the confused looks, I knew they didn't know who I was talking about. "He's the student" I told them. "And it doesn't matter, because we're safe here right? He can't find me here, so we'll just wait 12 hours and then you don't have to worry about me." They didn't say anything. Only Namjoon was looking at me now.
"But we have to survive that 12 hours and if he finds us..." he didn't finish his sentence.
"I know" I mumbled.
"Hyung this is a safe place, he can't do anything. Let her be" Jungkook's voice was stern and confident. It felt good to have someone on my side, truly. I know Namjoon was just trying to get the best out of the situation, but it hurt to hear the truth. And now I was really nervous. Could Mark find us?
