An hour passed. Not a word from the girl. The man with the big scar started to get impatient.

"Try to contact her."

"I'm sorry, but that is way too risky," Laura answered him. "We can't guarantee they haven't got her. If they have the communicator we are risking getting caught."

The boss didn't say anything. He looked around outside the car. They had parked among the trees beside a small lake, not far away from the Avengers house. Two more cars were parked behind them. Tiffany sat in the back seat, repeatedly kicking the seat in front of her.

"Would you please stop that?" Jackson said from the front seat.

She stopped and apologized, but started drumming with her fingers against the car door instead. They had been waiting for way too long now.

"Maybe this wasn't the best idea," Laura mumbled from the right of Tiffany. She gripped the walkie talkie with her fingers, hard.

"We'll make sure to get her back," their boss said. He sounded very confident.

They waited for another couple of minutes before the man with the scar sighed and said; "You know what, let's just get it over with."

"Are you sure?" Jackson asked.

"Yes."
