Jeremy's P.O.V

I don't know why Jenna and Elena are forcing me to go to the Founder's kick-off party. It's a stupid unnecessary event, and I'd rather be hanging with Vicki or practicing my guitar skills. Not that I need to. Hell, I'd rather hang out with Asshole Salvatore, than go to this stupid party.

Elena was all dressed up, wearing a floral dress to look good for Stefan. I have to admit, to myself, that my sister does scrub up well. She looks pretty most of the time, but recently she's put in even more effort. I thought it was for Stefan, but last weekend, made me see that she's still in love with Damon. She's obviously not happy about it. She's spent the whole week dodging him, ignoring his phone calls and not going round there. Which means I've had Stefan sitting in my living room all week. Don't get me wrong, Stefan is a nice guy, but it's hard not to get annoyed when he's got his tongue down Elena's throat. Plus, I'm a Gilbert man, meaning I have a natural adversion to vampires, well evil ones. Uncle John has been threatening to arrive for the Founder's month. Personally, I don't care. It's just Elena, Jenna and even, Alaric who aren't all too fond of him.

So, I've been forced into a suit, and Elena is pushing me out of the door. Stefan is meeting her there at the entrance like a good lapdog, I mean, boyfriend. The Lockwood mansion is ridiculously huge. They inherited more land in the early 1860's. Inherited is the wrong word, naturally, they acquired it when the vampires were rounded up and hidden in the tomb in 1864. The Lockwood's have benefited a lot from the downfall of the vampires. Tyler Lockwood is a complete tool. He's been after Elena, although she remains oblivious to it, and because she's is unavailable he's been after Vicki. My girlfriend. So I hate him with as much passion as I love music. Damon is going to be there to I presume. Which is going to tick me off even more. I might have to drink, a lot. Hopefully, Matt will be there and Elijah, because they are the only two guys I know who aren't seriously uncool. Matt's an awesome guy, even if he's still hung up over Elena, and he's a good mate. I wish he'd get over Elena. I'm not being mean, but the guy could do with some happiness. I don't even know where his mom is this month or what guy she's dating this week, but he could do without it to be honest. Still, Founder's Month always brings the town together, especially as it usually all goes wrong around this time. I heard Sherriff Forbes this morning talk about more animal attacks, which I know is just the towns cover up for the vampire attacks. Liz was talking to the one and only Damon Salvatore. Now that Damon seems to be back in town for good, he is diving straight back into his 'must-protect-Elena-and-myself' mode, and placing himself into the lives of the towns secret council.

Anyway, when we got there Mayor Forbes and Mrs Lockwood were talking to Stefan at the front of the house. We were late, because Jenna decided to change her outfit and made Elena change hers too. So now Elena is in a different flowery dress, which looks nice, and Jenna is wearing a plain black dress, which was fairly similar to the one she was wearing originally. Women.
