I smiled at Nathan as we sat on the grass in the park. He smiled back and then turned to watch Jay who was messing about on the hoops.

"He's such an idiot." I said rolling my eyes.

I sighed and looked at Nathan again. I just couldn't get my head around the fact that he was here, after wanting him back for so long, I could hardly believe that it had actually happened. He had decided to to stay with me and Jay for a while whilst he waited to hear back about the band.

"You guys seem close though, it's sweet." he said quietly.

"Yeah, not as close as we were." I admitted.

"Why, did you guys have a fall out?" he asked gently.

"Not exactly." I said quietly.

"Tell me then." he grinned.

"I don't want to talk about it." I snapped.

He shrugged and began to pick at the grass.

"Nath, I need to talk to you about something." I said nervously.

"Sure, what's up?" he asked.

"What are you going to do if you don't get into the band?" I replied.

"What do you mean by that?" he frowned.

"Well, are you going to leave again?" I asked nervously.

He looked at me for a long time, as my heart pounded waiting for his answer.

"I'll just wait and see what happens first." he answered.

"Promise me something." I whispered.

He raised his eyebrow and waited for me to continue.

"Don't leave me behind this time." I pleaded.

"You'd want to come with me?" he frowned.

"Of course I would." I said honestly.

"But you've got a life set up here, you have work and your own place." he pointed out.

"I don't care." I told him.

"You'd give all that up?!" he exclaimed.

"We can get a flat somewhere." I whispered.

"And besides I'm really unhappy at work anyway." I added.

"What, why?!" I exclaimed.

"I get bullied really badly, and it's sucking the joy out of the course." I said sadly.

"Why didn't you say anything?" he asked.

"Embarrassed I guess." I whispered.

"It has to stay between me and you." I added.

He nodded and pulled me into a hug.

"Have you told Jay that you might be moving?" he asked.

"Nope." I said popping the 'p'

"Besides I doubt he'll be bothered." I sighed as I stood up slowly.

I glanced down at Nathan and saw that he was looking behind me. I turned and gasped as I saw Jay standing behind me, a strange look in his blue eyes. I glanced at him, before walking away.
