Akatsuki hideout - 3rd pov
Pain had just come out of the shower after a long day of hard work and sweat when he heard something. Thunder. At least, it sounded like thunder. In actuality, it was the sound of shinobi running around above the Akatsuki base.
They're looking for her. Don't they understand that she wants nothing to do with them by now? We, including her, left that stupid headband far away from here. They should know that she doesn't want to be near them. Pain thought, agitated by their persistence.
Early morning-that day
Konoha
"Team 7 will search here, Team 8 is here, Team 9 is here, and Team 10 is here." Tsunade said as she traced circles on a map. "Now go."
Kurenai pov
"Everyone have what they need?" Kiba and Shino nodded. "Good. Now let's go find Hinata."
Shino pulled out a Bicochu beetle that was just about to hatch. When we gave it Hinata's headband, it immediately perked up and started flying away. We stopped cold when it dropped and just sat there on the ground.
"Shino. What's happening?" I asked.
"I'm . . . Not sure. I . . . Think it lost her scent." He replied.
"Damn." I muttered. "We just have to keep looking. She has to be somewhere."
I'm not giving up on you Hinata. I thought as I clutched her headband. I wont let them do anything to you.
Pain pov
"Hinata, follow me. Enemies are close." She looked me in the eyes and nodded. "We need to wake up the others. You take Itachi, Sasori, Tobi, Konan, and Hidan. I will handle the others."
