Accident - Part 2

"Are we getting close, Solar?" Thorn asked while gasping for air as they had ran non stop.

"He should be around he-"
A sudden huge gush interrupted his sentences. He was almost blown away if it wasn't for Thorn's vine clamping their feet in place. As he thanked Thorn for his quick thinking, a thought suddenly run into his head. 'That gush?'

"Solar, that was Taufan's wind!" Thorn words affirmed his thought. They quickly headed towards the gushing wind and what they saw make their jaws drop.

They spotted a trembling person sitting on the ground with a face as pale as a sheet. And infront of him was Taufan who was literally fuming with anger.
His signature smile was long gone and was replaced with a cold scrowled. The wind that was circulating him was deadly sharp leaving a lot of scars to the surrounding.

"N-no...no...please have mercy..."
"...Mercy? Your asking for mercy after what you did to him!!!
Taufan shouted with anger.

'Him? Does Taufan meant Gempa?' Solar eyes then landed at Gempa who was laying near them. They then hurriedly went to Gempa's side to check on him.

Before Solar even manage to asked Thorn for Gempa's condition a scream erupted. Taufan was now holding the person's shirt by the neck and was ready to punch the living of this guy.

Solar was about to stop Taufan but another person thought of another idea and went to rushed him while calling him in his most lovely voice.

"Taufan~♡"

Taufan immediately snapped his focus towards the owner of the voice who is right now running towards him.

"Thorn?"
"Hehe, Catch me! Catch me!"
"Eh...EHHH!!?"

Taufan panickly withdraw his wind and capture Thorn in his arm. Thorn in return embraced the hug in an excited manner.

"Thorn that was dangerous! What if I didn't notice you? You could get hurt?!"

Thorn lift up his face and said "But you did notice me, right? So it's fine." Thorn giggled. "And don't worry, Gempa is alright for now. I've checked on him." Thorn added.

"His...fine..?" Taufan asked in a brittle voice. Thorn nodded his head and pointed his hand towards the supposedly unconscious Gempa but instead he has now woken up and was sitting with Solar supporting his body.

With what little strength he could mustered, Gempa said with a smile "...I'm fine....so...stop, Taufan."

Seeing Taufan was overwhelmed, Thorn smiled and spoke softly "It's okay now, Taufan. We're all safe."

After seeing the conscious Gempa with Solar and Thorn innocent like smile, he began to calm down and smile return on his face. He wiped his tears with a sigh "Thank you. But Thorn don't ever do that again, okay?"

"Okay☆." Thorn replied. "Now let me see your injuries." Thorn added.

Meanwhile, the person that was on the ground thought that it was a perfect moment to escaped and began to slowly walk away from the scene. But he was abruptly knocked by someone by the knee and proceed to plummeted his face hard on the ground. As he hissed in pain, a chuckled was heard.

"And where do you think your going, buddy?" Solar who had saw the scene from the very beginning couldn't help but sighed by the criminal's attempt to run. It was so poor he couldn't help but chuckle.

Solar wanted to knock him out so badly because he was being disruptively noisy even after being tie up. But Thorn however sees this as an opportunity to hang him up like a piñata at the branch of a tree and uses him as his practice target.

So Solar let them be.

After settling the fate of the criminal on Thorn's hand, Solar immediately send an emergency signal to the base to update about their situations. As he was doing that, he glanced at Taufan who was sleeping due to Thorn's medical herb with his head laying on Gempa's lap.

As there was nothing to do but to wait for the back-up group to arrived, Solar went to sit beside them. "You can rest too you know." Solar whisper to Gempa as to not disturb their sleeping brother.

"It's fine. I'm feeling a lot better after eating Thorn's herb. You know how effective it is, right." Solar was about to object Gempa's claim on being fine but Gempa cut him before he even manage to say anything. "I'm not kidding when I said I'm fine, I practically slept for half of the mission afterall." Gempa giggled.

"Urgh...you're so stubborn." Solar commented.

For a moment the atmosphere was filled with laughter and a bit of screaming for help (from the criminal side), but Solar slowly become silent and his face frowned. Gempa saw how hesitate Solar was keep his silence and wait.

"I'm sorry..."

"For what?" Gempa question in confusion by Solar sudden apology. Solar further added while looking down "....For not coming here faster to safe you guys"

The silent atmosphere make Solar become nervous. A sigh could be heard from the other party making Solar prepare himself for some scolding.

But then a pat was felt on his head, it felt so gentle like a mother's touch. As Solar looked up, his eyes then met with those rich hazel eyes that showed nothing but warmness. "Apologies denied, after all there is no need for it, is it not? We're all safe and that's what's matters." Gempa keep ruffling Solar soft hair making Solar blush with embarrassment.

"And I know for a fact that you didn't use your powers to get here faster was because you want to protect Thorn, am I right? Cause there is still a risk of the criminal was nearby and would attack if they see Thorn was all alone." Gempa added.

"How did you...?" Solar was amazed on Gempa's deduction of the situation eventhough no one had told him anything yet.

"Above anything, I think you did a great job handling this mission as a leader Solar. I think you're more suited as a leader more than I do." Gempa said genuinely.

"What are you saying, Gempa? How could I-" Solar was shocked on Gempa statement of him but his word were then interrupted by the sound of space ship that was flying on top of them. The sound was loud and the gush of wind that came from it makes it even harder to see or even hear clearly. As the space ship makes it landing, although not clearly but Solar manage to hear that Gempa was saying something.

After the ship succesfully lands, the backup team came out and lead them to the space ship and lock the captured criminal to a temporary jail.

"Solar let go!" Thorn bear hug Solar from behide making him almost trip. "What's wrong?" Thorn asked after Solar did not respond to his call.

"N-no its nothing."

"Well if you say so, come on. Gempa and Taufan has already went ahead of us." Thorn said while pulling Solar's hand

Due to the injuries sustained by Gempa and Taufan, they were quickly handled by the medical staff and was taken inside the ship for treatment.

As Solar walks towards the ship with Thorn, he couldn't help but wonder the things he just heard 'Maybe I'm just overthinking this...I probably heard it wrong.'

He hoped that he was wrong because there is no way that will Gempa say something like that with a sad smile.

'Because I am a failure.'

YES!!! finally manage to upload chp 2 for this story. I'm sorry for the late update. Writer block just suddenly hit me with its hammer. And also this is my first time writing a story so I would be very glad to recieve a constructive comment for self- improvement.
