TJ's POV: The world is a scary place but wrapped in his arms that's where I feel the safest. I feel like nothing can hurt me when he's around. He's always there for me and I don't know what I did to deserve him. He loves me on my best days and my worst days. His arms are my favorite place.
It was the middle of the night when Cyrus got the call from TJ he was frantic and talking really fast. Cyrus said" Teej what's wrong? Do I need to come over?" TJ says" Yes Cy, just please come and I'll explain when you come over." Cyrus says" Okay muffin. I'll be there soon and I love you." TJ breathing slows a bit and says" I love you too, muffin." Cyrus gets ready quickly throwing on clothes then grabbing his phone charger and keys. Something tells him to drink hot cocoa and popcorn so he does when he finally has everything he slips on his shoes and starts walking to his house. Worry and fear wash over Cyrus because he has no idea what he's gonna walk into or what kind of state TJ's in. He's just glad that TJ called him and finally he reaches TJ's front door he texts TJ" I'm here." TJ opens the door Cyrus and takes in TJ's appeareance he's wearing sweatpants, a loose-fitting t-shirt, his hair is all fluffy and he has glasses on. As soon as TJ sees Cyrus he pulls him into a hug holding on for dear life.
After afew mintues TJ pulls away and looks at Cyrus with tired eyes. Cyrus says" Teej what happened?" TJ said" Well it's kinda stupid and I'm so sorry for the way I look right now." Cyrus says" First of all, it's not stupid and second muffin you are adorable," Cyrus ruffles his hands threw TJ's hair. TJ smiles and points to the sofa both boys make their way over to the sofa. They sit down and Cyrus says" Teej baby what happened?" TJ takes a deep breathe and says" I had a nightmare." Cyrus frowns and says" What happened in it." TJ said" Well it felt so real. The first thing that happened was my parents were getting a divorce, my sister ran away from home, I got kicked off the basketball team and then you broke up with me," his voice got quiet at the last part. Cyrus says" Muffin, I didn't hear that last part. Can you repeat that?" TJ says" In my nightmare you broke up with me." Cyrus says" Teej I would never break up with you." TJ says" Really?"
Cyrus says" Yes really. I love you, your my other half, my soulmate and I can't live without you." TJ softens at his words and says" I love you muffin." Cyrus says" Also I brought hot cococa and popcorn because on the phone you sounded like you needed a pick me up." TJ smiles at him and says" Your the best, Underdog." Cyrus says" I'm gonna go in the kitchen to make it and you wait here unless you don't want to be alone." TJ stands up reaching for Cyrus' hand. Cyrus accepts his hand and both boys go to the kitchen. Cyrus pulls out the hot cocoa mix and popcorn from his backpack that he brought over. Cyrus tries to reach the mugs over the top shelf but is unsuccessful, he turns to his boyfriend and asks" Teej can you grab those mugs for me?" TJ replies" Yes of course Cy. Which ones?" Cyrus points to the light baby blue ones and says" Those please." TJ gets the mugs with no problem and sets them on the counter.
Soon, the hot cocoa and popcorn is done. Cyrus puts it on a tray and brings it to the living room where TJ is. Cyrus finds his boyfriend sitting on the sofa wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket and watching Rattalouille, Cyrus smiles and thinks to himself I have the cutest boyfriend in the whole world. Then Cyrus sits down next to TJ hands him a mug of hot cocoa and sets the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table. TJ smiles and says" Kiss," he pouts Cyrus gives a soft little kisses and a kiss on the lips. Once they finish their hot cocoa and popcorn TJ starts to cuddle closer to Cyrus wrapping his arms around his waist while Cyrus does the same. TJ looks into his boyfriends eyes and says" When I'm your arms I feel safe like nothing can hurt me," then he kisses Cyrus. Cyrus smiles and says" I feel the same way baby."
They cuddle for a while until the movie ends and then Cyrus asks TJ if he was tired. TJ nods and says" Yes, but I don't wanna sleep alone after that nightmare." Cyrus says" That won't be a problem. I'll sleep here tonight and keep you company." TJ smiles and says" You're the best boyfriend ever muffin," then leans into kiss him. The boys walk hand and hand up the stairs to TJ's room then TJ pulls Cyrus on to the bed and says" Cuddles please," he pouts Cyrus says" Yes of course muffin." Cyrus cups his muffin's face and gives him soft kisses all over his face then starts to cuddle him.
TJ smiles so big and then Cyrus thinks TJ looks so soft and cute. I love him so much and he's only this soft with me so that makes it more special. Then Cyrus looks over at TJ he's fast asleep under fuzzy blankets and cuddled up to Cyrus holding his hand in his sleep then soon Cyrus drifts off to sleep.
Then on Tuesday during morning break at Grant High School Cyrus reiceves a text from TJ saying" Underdog meet me by your locker in 5 minutes please." Cyrus wonders what TJ has to tell/show him but Cyrus walks to his locker and surprisingly TJ's already there. Cyrus says" Hey muffin what's up?" TJ looks at him and says" Muffin guess what? Guess what," he says all happy and excited while smiling. Cyrus says" Well I'm not the best guesser but it's something important to you I can tell. Just tell me please." TJ turns over the paper he's holding and says loudly" Muffin I got a B+ on my math test!" Cyrus starts smiling immediately, hugs TJ and says" Teej muffin. I knew you could do it! I'm so proud of you. This is amazing oh my god!" TJ smiles and thinks to himself I made Cyrus proud please he's so precious.
Cyrus loves to see TJ so happy and smiley he deserves to feel like all the time. TJ kissed Cyrus and Cyrus kissed him back. Then Cyrus says" After school we should go to The Spoon get baby taters and celebrate then go on the swings afterwards!" TJ smiles and relaxes at his words then says" Yes Cy that's perfect I can't wait!"The morning break is almost over so TJ grabs Cyrus' hands and starts to walk him to his next class and right before TJ drops Cyrus off at his class he gives him a kiss on the nose. Cyrus says" Before you go Teej. I just want to say how proud of you I am again," then gives him one last kiss before walking into class. Both boys say goodbye to each other and TJ heads to history class. The rest of the day went by pretty quickly and before the boys knew it the last bell was ringing. Cyrus met up with TJ after basketball practice they started to walk to The Spoon holding hands.
When the boyfriends arrived at The Spoon they picked a booth ordered baby taters and two milkshakes one strawberry the other being chocolate. The taters and milkshakes finally arrived they enjoyed them as they talked and held hands across the table smiling at each other. Cyrus says" Teej." TJ stops sipping his milkshake, looks at him and says" Yes," Cyrus says" I love you and I'm so proud of you. All day, everyday, every minute, every second and every hour," Then he squeezed his boyfriends hand. TJ blushes and says" I love you too muffin and that's the sweetest thing I've heard today." He smiles so big. Cyrus looks at him and says" Ahh that smile. I love your smile." TJ starts blushing like crazy and Cyrus kisses his hand.
After the boyfriends finish up at The Spoon they start to walk to park holding hands. Once they arrived there both boys walked to the swings holding hands and they start swinging. TJ said" I love that the swings is our place." Cyrus nods and says" Me too Teej. Who knew that a chocolate chocolate chip muffin and these swings would lead to us becoming boyfriends." TJ said" I didn't know it would but I'm so glad that it did because I can't imagine being without you Underdog."
