Dezirae sits with Dr Crusher as she listens to Data play the violin Data.... who is feeling quite inadequate to his fellow performers was happy to see Dezirae enjoying his solo piece and believed that perhaps the others were wrong that he did indeed play with soul/emotion for he knew how well she responded to positive emotions and how she did when it came to negative emotions she seemed to base her like and dislike of people because of their negative emotions which he found curious then again like Deanna she seemed to also feel those emotions in a more heightened sense as though they became one with hers and perhaps that was why she disliked them so much she had also went so she could watch O'Brien who was playing the Cello but Data knew better than to be jealous of his friend for he knew that they (Dez and Miles) are only friends as well that she seemed to somehow only have feelings for him (Data) which he found curious but also enjoyed what confused Data the most was the fact that he as a being who could NOT feel emotions seemed to feel them for her and only her as well which he also enjoyed as well as found odd and he did not know how to express the emotions he feels "properly" though she seems quite content with what he does show when he does show them.... which is often and always in different ways.... he had always wanted to know what it was like to be human he has just not realized that his being around her and the emotions he shows when they are together is showing him just that then again it only happened when she was around and only to her so it wasn't like he was COMPLETEly human he knew that this was not because of Q and wondered why it happened at all yet he did not complain for as I said he enjoys showing those little bits of emotions that do not come from his capacity to overthink and mainly rely "to heavily" on his programming and "wanting to please" for with her everything seemed to come out more.... naturally.... and if he were human he would probably say that it frightened him even though he did find it quite enjoyable and he.... and most likely Dezirae herself.... wondered if and when he would allow it to take itself much further he knew he was her first kiss, her first "true" caress and as he pointed out she is a virgin in all matters concerning the emotion known as LOVE and he.... well he had his knowledge and the times he shared with Tasha Yar so he.... in a sense.... was not.... when he went down to the Tau Cygna 5 to preform the duty he was assigned he wondered if Dezirae would be proud of the way he handled things and if she would be jealous of the feelings Ard'rian McKenzie claimed she had for him like he is of her one mention his brother and their friendship he even wondered just how close they were/are to one another.... Data thought back on all the times since she has come aboard that his fellow shipmates have commented that his claims of having no emotions were proven wrong because of how he acts around her and he has yet to fully see it's impactive effect and he always seems to find a way/excuse to "prove them wrong" or at least say they are....

When they reached Rana Four Data became worried about Dezirae for just like Deanna she was feeling the effects of a song that came from a music box he had found in the home of the only 2 living beings there though unlike Deanna the effects once again were stronger for Dezirae was screaming in pain and refused to leave her quarters so that she did not worry her friends like she was worrying Data and unlike Deanna Dezirae did not need the "help" of the being that created the noise to "heal" her from it for as soon as it was taken away from Deanna Dezirae stopped screaming and returned to her normal happy-go-lucky teasing self which gave Data a sense of relief.... he loved how she tried to comfort Worf when he felt down after losing a member of his Away Team when they scouted the home planet of the Koinonians seeing things from both points of view he was surprised to find out that she was on HIS (Data's) home planet before it was destroyed "I lost a whole planet of people all of who I did not know all that well but it still hit me pretty hard.... death isn't any easier than life especially for those who are left behind and even though this being has the right intentions "she" is doing it the wrong way.... if Worf could have switched places with your mother I'm pretty sure he would have he'll never admit it but even he gets scared, sad and sick his people are warriors first and foremost and emotions like those are known to them as a sign of weakness but they aren't how we deal with those emotions shows the world just how strong we truly are we can give in to those emotions and cower at their feet or we can except, deal with and overcome them and become strong.... it's ok to grieve she will be missed by all even those who didn't know her for on this ship we are family.... not a completely "tight knit" family but we will always be there and stand up for on another.... if Data were here he could accurately quote just how many people you would have whenever you need them for whatever reason you would need them.... once they're off duty of course.... and even though it can't do or understand much you even have the computer... for most things for it can only do as it was programmed to but one things for sure no matter how hard they may try NO ONE can replace either one of your parents nor should they.... what this being is doing.... making you live in the past is not helping it's hurting you and though it may feel nice right now it will hurt later on you and I both know that"  Dezirae had told Jeremy during that time....
