As the evening stretched on, Mina found herself feeling an unexpected pull of curiosity toward Y/n's place. The air was crisp and cool as she made her way down the narrow streets, her heart fluttering slightly with each step.

She had heard much about Y/n's peculiar ways, and though they had crossed paths several times, there was still so much about the doctor that intrigued her.

When Mina arrived at Y/n's house, she could hear the unmistakable sound of a heated argument from within.

Y/n's voice was unmistakable, sharp and impatient, and it echoed through the thin walls.

"Sana, for the last time, I don't need you to rearrange my things! I know where everything is, even if it looks like chaos to you!" Y/n was shouting, her tone exasperated.

There was a clattering noise, followed by the sound of something heavy being set down.

Mina hesitated at the door, unsure whether to knock or wait. But before she could decide, the door flew open, and Y/n appeared in the doorway, her eyes blazing with frustration.

She looked ready to launch into another tirade when she suddenly froze, her eyes landing on Mina standing there with a soft, tentative smile.

"Wha—what are you doing here?" Y/n stammered, clearly caught off guard. Her tone was rude, but there was an underlying vulnerability in her eyes, a flicker of uncertainty.

Mina, in her usual gentle manner, clasped her hands in front of her. "I'm sorry to intrude, Doctor Y/n" she said softly, her voice calm and soothing. "I was nearby and thought I'd come to see how you were doing."

Y/n blinked, as if not quite believing what she was hearing. She glanced back into her house, where the chaos of half-unpacked boxes and scattered papers was evident.

Her normally sharp gaze softened slightly, but her mouth didn't quite know how to form a polite response.

"It's not a good time" Y/n said abruptly, her voice gruff as she moved to close the door. "I'm—I'm busy."

But before she could fully shut the door, Mina placed a delicate hand on it, preventing it from closing. Her expression was so earnest, so filled with understanding, that Y/n found herself hesitating.

"I don't mind" Mina said gently. "Everyone's space is different, and it doesn't change how I see you." Her words were simple, pure, carrying a sincerity that made Y/n's chest tighten uncomfortably.

Y/n swallowed hard, feeling the walls she had built around herself start to crumble just a little. "It's a mess in here" she muttered, her voice lacking its usual edge. "You don't need to see that."

Mina offered a small, warm smile, her eyes filled with kindness. "Sometimes it's okay to let someone in, even when things are messy" she replied softly. "It's not the space that matters, but the person inside it."

( am I being too deep here 😃 )

Y/n stared at her for a long moment, her gaze searching Mina's face for any sign of pity or judgment. But there was none—only that same pure, unassuming warmth.

With a reluctant sigh, she stepped back, opening the door slightly wider.

"Fine" she grumbled, though there was a hint of softness in her tone now. "But don't go saying anything about the state of the place. It's... organized chaos."

Mina nodded, stepping inside with the grace of someone entering a sacred space. Her eyes moved around the room, taking in the clutter, the stacks of medical books, the scattered notes and instruments.
