Some random headcanons of mine for you to enjoy and comment on. They start out fluffy and humorous and then get angsty.
- Emma is an absolutely terrible influence on Wilamena. She loves to convince the elf princess to swear and say inappropriate jokes by telling her they are "common human greetings." It drives everyone else insane, especially Michael. Eventually Wilamena is told what's going on, and when she does find out, she finds it undignified but very funny.
- To connect with their friends across the magical world, Michael and Richard form a book club. They pick books from all different magical cultures and really bring people together. So far, it includes several of King Robbie's dwarves, including Haarald, Wilamena, Captain Anton, and a few other elves who want to learn more about the modern world after so many years in isolated Antarctica, and one mildly reluctant Hugo Algernon, who Richard talked into joining.
- Emma calls the aforementioned book club the "nerd club" and has a tendency to groan and whine whenever Michael goes on about it.
- Michael, Emma, and Wilamena are all terrible liars. Michael has a lot of nervous ticks that show through, like sweating and voice cracks and not making eye contact. Wilamena tends to giggle and be just a little too enthusiastic while trying to lie. Emma lies like a rug and does it with a straight face and everything - her problem is that the lies she makes up are all incredibly outlandish and make zero sense.
- Raising her siblings makes Kate adapt at detecting lies, and incredibly good at detecting them when they have anything to do with the trouble her siblings get into. She's not that great at lying herself though, mostly because she prefers honesty whenever possible.
- Emma has become friends with Abigail. The elderly woman likes to tell the young girl about all the trouble she used to get into. Emma listens intently, because she never knows what she can use for inspiration.
- If Emma, Dena, and Abigail ever got the chance to hang out, they would become great friends and caused chaos.
- Michael eventually does become an honorary elf after Wilamena insists on knighting him and making him the official "sir rabbit".
- Michael and Emma hate each other's taste in music. Michael likes weirdly obscure songs that are either fairly classical (Emma calls them a snooze-fest) or folksy, and dwarfish ballads. Emma listens to the angriest rock songs and also the loudest and cheesiest music she can find, which started as a joke to be annoying but now they've grown on her.
- No one knows what to make of Wilamena's music taste. Wilamena loves the elf music, which is whimsical and quirky but fun, but she also is getting really into modern pop music.
- Whenever in the car, you can bet Emma starts an endless stream of "are we there yet?"
- Michael and Emma leave their stuff all around the house and it drives Kate insane. With Michael, it's mostly just books left on tables and couches, but Emma leaves her freaking sword lying around the house because of course she does.
- Emma once put too much laundry detergent in the washer and bubbles flooded all the way into the hallway. No one knows if it was on purpose or not.
- Wilamena, try as she might, has a horrible time of keeping secrets. Not life or death secrets, she can manage those, but everyday secrets.
- Emma enjoys playing soccer. If there was a game going among some kids at the orphanage, she would usually join in. She refused to make friends doing it, but running around and playing got her to let off some steam and still did her good.
- There are very few movies all three Wibberly siblings actually agree on (mostly because Michael and Emma argue over EVERYTHING) but those they do agree on tend to be quirky and comedic. The current favorites are The Princess Bride (because it's fantasy but funny) and Back To The Future (because these actual time travelers definitely enjoy the irony of this situation).
