I sat at home with the TV on, many blankets surrounded me as I awaited a text from Spencer.

I am used to him coming home late, or texting me if he would be staying somewhere else.

It was already 2 a.m when I got a text from him.

'I'll be home soon :)"
He wrote.

I smiled softly as I burrowed further into the blankets, and fell asleep.

I heard our apartment door quietly open and close, and the sound of keys being placed on a table.

I looked out over my head of blankets to see my boyfriend with a gentle smile on his face.

"Hey baby." He whispered quietly walking over to me.

I wrapped my arms around him, as he sat down I moved onto his lap.

He held my back gently, "I'm sorry I came home late, it was a 3 hour plane ride back." He rubbed my back gently.

"You know, you should really let me know earlier when you're coming home late, I started getting worried." I whispered groggily.

"I know, I'm sorry. I didn't have a lot of free time on this case." He said holding me tighter.

"It's okay Spence, just try to let me know if you can next time?"

"Of course, and to make up for my lateness, why don't we go on a date tomorrow? We haven't had one in a while."

"Yeah, I'd like that." I replied.

"Okay, it's set, let's go to bed." He said carefully getting up, and taking me to our bed.
