The pups is still following the river and have not seen or hear Ryder, Jake or Carlos. It was in the middle of the day, the sun shine bright on the pups path.
Chase: How you doing Rubble ?
Rubble: Little pain but I'm good, how's Skye ?
Skye: I'm good thanks and I think my paw feels better
Marshall: Rocky how's your leg doing ?
Rocky: My leg starting to feel better but still need time to heal
Everest: Hopefully you guys get better soon
Rubble Thoughts: Yeah me too because this is painful

The pups keep following the river until they stop and noticed dead tree up ahead.
Chase: Woah that's a lot of dead trees
Zuma: Yeah dude look like some bwanches might fall on us if re keep moving
Chase: As long we don't touch the trees we will be fine ok let's keep moving
The pups keep walking through the dead trees and see more dead trees on the path. Soon enough almost every they look is a dead tree and there was no grass just dirt.
Marshall: I think there was a fire here
Everest: Do you think because of the storm
Rocky: Probably
Tracker: Oy Oy Oy is scary here
Rubble: Yeah it is (trip on dead branch) Ow
Marshall: Rubble you gotta be more careful
Rubble: Sorry it's hard with a sore leg
Marshall: Oh right my bad

Then Tracker hear something and stop in his tracks
Tracker: Oy hush everyone I hear something

Then the walking sound was getting closer and sound like four feet.
Tracker: Oy now it's sound like like two people are coming and getting closer
Chase: Omg in front of us
Soon every pup can hear the walking sound
Tracker: No behind us
The pups all turn around and panic because it was the bear and it has his sharp teeth and claws out ready to attack. The pups new they can't our run it so they can not run. The bear did not see them so Chase have a plan.
Chase: Quick everyone hide
So every pup hide behind a big dead tree perfect for all of them. Then the bear was walking twenty feet away them and stop in the path and sniff the air next Rubble began to whisper
Rubble: Oh no guys he-
Zuma: Shh
Rubble: But he-
Marshall: Shh
Rubble: Hey you guys prom-
