everything was burned
we were left with no respect
after shermans march to the sea
would you ever respect he?
they pardoned us for treason
but for some there was no effect
for when your all but left for dead
what's the point of living 'till the end?
the negro's are free
what else is new
i want to earn some dignity
but now that all the slaves are free
they get real jobs
leave to go on their own
but the kkk will bring them home
