this life is hard
this life is tough
all of these troubles
are they not enough?
they drive us to the edge
the edge of sanity
but in reality
are we really sane?
we think we are
but how do we know
with our excuses
so lame
and how do you expect us to have a future
with nowhere to go
our parents tell us
"shine like a star and you will go far"
but how far will you go
when your not given the chance
the chance to know
you get one step forward
and three steps back
but can you continue
no, because the troubles keep holding you back
this life is hard
this life is tough
and all of the troubles
no, they're not enough
