I could feel it coursing through my veins
Bubbling up inside of me
Willing me to explode
Finger tips digging into sweaty palms
Deep inhales of oxygen calming my racing nerves
Seeing him there
Acting as if he had never done anything
Smiling at me like an old friend
And that's when I snapped
Voice raising
Words dripping out of my mouth like venom
All my anger releasing when it hadn't shown in years
And I did nothing to stop
