Dejected. How actually do we get dejected? Having your exams fall right before your birthday? Getting your periods right before a mega party? Working your ass off only to know that you didn't make it to the list? Or falling in love with someone and not having them love you back? You see dejection happens by every mode and by every freaking thing you get bothered by. How do I know that? Because I've been dejected too.

It was around 2016. I was 19. And I met this guy. Obviously, every story needs a guy. How did it start? I really don't know. It's funny how every alluring thing in our lives begin inadvertently. When you spend time with someone there's a field of connection generated unknowingly. The things you like about him in the start will eventually make it to one of the points in your list on "Why shouldn't I text Siddharth?" In my case – Funny and careless. As I said I met him in my almost puerile and juvenile stage. 19 is the last age of your teen hood. Your last unofficial age where all of your crummy and atrocious activities get cleared off considering you're a teen.

The things leading to a heartbreak always starts with an act of immaculateness. It was an innocent text in the Instagram that started things. When two people share a similar interest, they believe that they were destined to meet or so did I believe (when I was 19). It was Batman- the dark knight in this scenario. Come on, who hates batman? Every person from a 5-year-old to a guy who just became a dad sports a batman tee without knowing who Bruce Wayne is. (BTW, Bruce Wayne is batman). So, to quote Katherine Langford form "13 reasons why", "You see! That's where the trouble began! That text! That damned text!".

Had I known that this guy is going to crush my heart and create a cleft that would be hard to even camouflage or cloak, I wouldn't have replied back. Had I known that he is the only guy I'd fall in love with so tenaciously; a love that practically ruined the chances for his successors, I wouldn't have replied back. Had I known that he is going to tag himself up to the top as my epitome of love interests, I wouldn't have replied him back. But the universe has a way of placing things before you, it introduces you to a feast that you don't really wish to attend; provokes you with its offerings; latches on your back and when you finally decide on attending it... BOOM! It's gone!
