kiss with death

good lord, don't
run your fingers
down my spine, don't make me shiver
whispering in my ear and searching
for what? what do I have
that an angel like you
does not? toying with my body
won't get you anywhere, anyways
I've already died,
I can't do much for you now
please, carry me over
I wanted peace, and none of this

I turn to face you,
to tell you off, but instead,
you kiss me and a cold breath
escapes your shallow mouth
into mine, and I awaken,
my eyes fly open

I had planned
to slip into the underworld
unnoticed; however, you noticed,
and for the better, I now lay
very much alive
not noticed, my notice,
silent on my nightstand,
is signed by myself, but also
with a kiss from death
