You were in dead silence, dying.
But it was not earsplitting.
Eyes are glued to the ceiling,
Wishing you were only dreaming.

Unsettling like the sound of crickets.
They were ringing like buying tickets.
Last night, you were told a snippet
Of how you were gonna rip it.

The food was always good, never crappy.
Your tummy was happy.
But, dear, offer me a pansy, because
Your heart, oh, it was empty.

You swallow 'em whole.
In your stomach, it made a giant hole.
Every single one is a whore,
Because life fucks us all.
