~So this is still a new concept to me, and I will be updating this as the chapters go on (also as to not reveal too much right now hehe) ~

1. Koi Fariyaad, originally by Jagjit Singh though my favorite rendition to listen to as I worked on the story was this one by Mustahsan Khan.

Speaks to the longing & yearning that is the core of both these characters and their relationship. It's thus the namesake of this book as well.

Favorite Lines:

Jaagte jaagte, ek umhr...
kati ho jaise.

*

Raha chalte hue aksar, yeh gumaan hota hai.
Woh nazar chupke, mujhe dekh rahi ho jaise.

*

Is tarha pehron tujhe sochta rahta hoon main,
Meri har saas tere naam likhi ho jaise.

2. O' Meri Laila, Atif Aslam & Jonita Gandhi - (but also basically the entire Laila Majnu album)

3. Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Prateek Kuhad & Jasleen Royal

4 & 5. Aahatein + Kahin Toh Hogi, I love the versions in this mixtape by Shekhar Ravjiani & Neeti Mohan

5. Aadat, Asif Aslam / Jal the Band

6. Ghalat Fehmi, Azim Azhar & Zenab Fatimah Sultan. Not the title itself but the song + the lyrics speak so much to who the characters are (or rather have become), I love it.
