Have I started watching a somewhat trashy anime? Yes

Am I thoroughly enjoying it?

Absolutely

I say "somewhat trashy" bc it's an isekai (transported to another world) anime
But like it's also really interesting when it comes to premises in comparison to all the other isekai's I've heard of

So it's about this girl was a massive weeb and played lots of otome games (a real life example would be mystic messenger)
And then she dies (like many isekai protagonists) and gets reincarnated in this other world

And she doesn't realise at first
She only realises when she trips and bashes her head when she's eight

And that's when she realises she's in one of the otome games she used to play
And she's been incarnated as the game's villain, Catarina

All the endings, good or bad, end with an undesirable fate for her
However that's only the case if she plays an important part in a character's route
Good endings lead in her getting exiled (bc it's like this fantasy style world)
Bad endings in her getting

Well

She gets murdered

So she decides to make it so she combats all these plot points that happen in the game and ends up befriending all of the main boys as well as two girls that are rivals in two of the boys' routes

And I'm only on episode... four...???

But Catarina is a bicon absolutely

Like there's this one romance book she reads during one of the episodes
And it's literally about a princess and a commoner girl falling in love

And one of the girls she befriends also likes that book
And this girl literally compares their friendship to these two at some points

So yes it's an isekai
Yes it's got a harem

But it's funny and an interesting premise
And next episode we'll get introduced to the MC of the otome game
