Kidnapped

Levi, Hanji and Erwin went into town to speak with one or two of the head military leaders about the vials and wouldn't be returning until later that night. (Y/n) decided to quietly hang around Eren and his small group of friends. Mikasa and Armin were talking with the boy about what they were hoping to find in the basement. (Y/n) had a feeling about what they would find.

For her, the name Grisha Jaeger sounded familiar. Not only that, but the man came from outside the walls just as she had and was working as a doctor. She had to wonder if that man happened to be her father's old friend. The one who trusted everything into his and his wife's son only to have everything go wrong. Leaning her head back she tried to think of whether or not she had ever heard her father call the man by his name.

She was too young for meetings but the man had gone to their home a few times. Usually her father and the man would go to the office and talk. Giving up on that idea she turned to a page she held. It was part of a news story about how the new ruler was doing and the usual boring stuff. A yawn passed her lips as she started to grow bored just sitting there.

Armin seemed to notice first and said something to Mikasa and Eren before making his way over to where she sat. "Hey, (Y/n), was it?" To this the girl turned her green eyes to the young blonde male. Her head tilted slightly. "Well, um... if you're bored why don't we walk around for a bit. Eren said he would wait for us to get back, and I see you exercising a lot around HQ."

For a moment, she thought about the offer. She really didn't just want to sit around and walking seemed a decent enough plan, so she nodded slowly. Armin smiled and held a hand out to her. Watching as her hand grasped his and he pulled her to her feet. From what he could tell, she was a bit shorter than Levi and yet seemed pretty bullheaded when it came to certain things.

As they walked he glanced over to her, watching as her eyes watched the clouds move across the blue expanse. Her hands were placed behind her back and she seemed rather relaxed. "Say, (Y/n), do you know the Captain well?" To that she turned her head down to look at the boy. His eyes weren't looking at her, instead just the road ahead of them.

Turning her attention ahead as well she began to think. Did she really know Levi all that well? She knew his past, and what happened to him. She also knew what happened to his old friends and why he was so harsh. A light hum passed her lips pulling Armin's attention to her. She turned to him and smiled, it wasn't really an answer, but one that he accepted.

He nodded slightly. "I suppose not. I heard that he was one of the people who brought you behind the walls like Keith did for Eren's father. Is that true?" To that she nodded, a sad smile gracing her features. There were only four people remaining that she was semi close to. Levi, Hanji, Erwin and Keith. Petra, Uhro, and many others were now deceased. "I see. Did you used to talk to them when you first arrived."

To that he heard her laugh. Her head shaking side to side. She still didn't talk much, but this boy had a lot of questions. So she thought maybe she would say something to quell his interrogation some. "No, talking is a pretty recent development. Even now, I still don't do much of it. Personal reasons relating to my past and all. Erwin told you guys some stuff I'm sure."

Armin shook his head at that. "Not really. We really only know that you're close to the heads and that you came from outside the walls." There was a small pause. "Oh, and that your mother is a Titan under Hanji's care. I'm... uh, sorry to hear that. Connie's mom is the same after all." Silence took over their conversation after that. Armin had run out of things to say and (Y/n) was still not much for conversation.

Noon was approaching quickly and the pair decided it was about time to return to the others. They didn't make it very far. As they walked, (Y/n) thought she heard something and paused mid step, it took Armin a few seconds to realize she had stopped following him. The pair heard a stick snap from within the forest surrounding them.
