My name is Sam and as I've been a witch for 3+ years.

You probably have a lot of questions. You may be wondering what exactly a witch is.

A witch is someone who works with energies, casts spells and uses tools such as herbs, crystals, the planets, wands, candles, etc. to bring desired changes, such as luck, money, love and self-love, protection, and much more. anyone can be a witch, any person of any gender, skin colour, or religion. There are many types of witches.

Although it's a practice, witchcraft is more than that— It's a lifestyle, and it takes a lot of practice and time. although witches don't cast spells every day, some of the ways witches live a magickal lifestyle are:

♡ Doing small magickal workings such as wearing red to attract love or stirring your coffee clockwise to attract positivity
♡ Being kind
♡ Creating a calm and positive atmosphere, maybe by drinking tea, wearing your favourite hoodie, and lighting candles
♡ Researching something magickal (i recommend you research something witchy every 1-2 weeks. It will really help your craft grow, especially early on)
♡ Doing a craft
♡ Helping someone
♡ Grounding and centring
♡ Meditation
♡ Journaling (gratitude, bullet, diary, etc.)

There are a lot misconceptions about witches, here I'll be debunking the most common ones.

♡ We ride brooms — Nope, but some of us do have besoms which are brooms used to energetically cleanse by sweeping
♡ We wear pointy hats — I mean there's nothing stopping you but it's not really a thing
♡ We're green — Nope, unfortunately we only come in human skin tones 😔
♡ Ww have made a pact with the devil in order to gain magick — Nope! Everyone has magick, so it's not necessary to involve the devil. Magick comes from within us, it is energy and surrounds us every day. most witches don't even believe in the devil.
♡ We're evil — I guess it's possible that a witch could be evil but that doesn't make us all evil. It's just like how not all cars are SUVs. sure, some are, but not all of them.

So now that we know a bit about what a witch is, what a witch isn't, and what a witch does, here are a few different types of witches:

♡ Beginner/baby witch: A witch that has just started their craft or is somewhat new
♡ Green/forest witch: A witch that works mostly with crystals, herbs, trees, plants, and the natural cycles of the earth
♡ Celestial/cosmic witch: A witch that works closely with the planets and stars, as well as astrology
♡ Solar witch: A witch that works closely with the sun and fire and does most spells in the day
♡ Lunar witch: A witch that works closely with the moon and water and does most spells at night
♡ Eclectic/omni witch: A witch that is a mix of a few types or all types of witches
♡ Dragon/draconic witch: A witch that works with dragon guides
♡ Kitchen witch: A witch that works most of their magick in the kitchen by cooking their spells
♡ Broom closeted witch: A witch that practices in secret (there can be broom closet green, kitchen, etc. witches)
♡ Religious witch: A witch that follows a religion (There can be religious green, kitchen, etc. witches)
♡ Sea witch: A witch that works with bodies of water and possibly the moon
and of course there are many more types of witches as well.
