"Hello! Where are you both lost?"Aditya and Zoya looked back at Pooja, hearing it, while Pooja, Arjun and Mahi looked at them both with inquisitive eyes.
"What just happened in this house? And why are your faces like, as if we caught you during a crime?"
Zoya gave a silly smile hearing it, while she revisited that line:
Caught during a crime? Maybe, you can say that...
"Well..." Aditya cleared his throat, while he looked at Zoya, "We were actually...we both were..."
Zoya's eyes widened, as she thought for a second that Aditya was actually going to blurt out everything. His honesty was a virtue she truly adored, and at that moment, it was something which terrified her too.
"Nothing guys!" Zoya jumped in, interrupting Aditya, as she added, "We were not doing anything. It's just...nothing."
"Ohhh...You did nothing, and still the house became a mess on its own?" Pooja asked, placing her bag on the kitchen counter.
Arjun looked at both of them with suspicious eyes, while he walked near Pooja, "Pooja, I think I know what happened."
Aditya and Zoya gulped, hearing that, while Arjun took a stroll near the dining table and looked at the mess. Aditya and Zoya moved two steps back, while Zoya went a bit closer to Aditya, and whispered to him.
"Do you think he found out, Aditya?"
Aditya had his eyes on Arjun, who was seriously looking around at the table and pizza boxes on the floor. Looking at that, Aditya tilted his head towards Zoya, and whispered back, "Knowing Arjun's track record, I am confident that he will come up with a dumbest investigation finding. And since food is involved, it will cloud his senses."
Arjun looked up at Aditya and Zoya, and asked with a serious face, "You both fought for pizza, right?"
Zoya heaved in relief, while Aditya whispered to Zoya with a slight smile, "I told you. His brain goes in airplane mode, when he sees food."
Zoya looked down with a chuckle, while Arjun came near Zoya, "Zoya, you find this funny? How can you both fight this recklessly putting all these pizzas at stake. I mean...look at them lying down!"
Zoya made a puppy face, while she tried to explain, "No Arjun...actually, we are sorry...we just..."
"We got lost in the moment." Aditya said, completing her statement, while Zoya took a glance at him, not failing to notice the choice of words he used. Speaking the truth while telling a lie, was definitely Aditya's forte; she appreciated him in heart.
"But still, how can you waste food?" Arjun said in a very emotional tone, as he picked up the pizza boxes from the floor, "That too pizza...you know how much precious pizza is? And fighting for food is so childish!"
"Excuse me?" Aditya asked, raising his brows, "Fighting for food is childish? So, who was the one who fought with Pooja outside her home a couple of years ago, for one samosa, and the entire colony..."
Arjun quickly rushed to Aditya, and interrupted him, "Okay Bhai! I forgive you...let's go home. Come on!" He pulled Aditya along with him, "Bye ladies...Good night!"
The girls laughed as Arjun dragged Aditya away from that place, to save his face, while Aditya turned back and looked at Zoya, as he walked out. He made a puppy face at her, at the interruption of their moment, while Zoya seeing that, looked down with a silent chuckle. These kind of interactions with Aditya were a bit new for her, but she was already loving it.
