"In this life, when you deny someone an apology, you will remember it at time you beg forgiveness."

"I'm sorry. I went too far." Jimin stood in front of Namjoon's door. "I should've respected the fact that you didn't want to talk about it again but I did anyway. I- don't expect you to forgive me, but it would be nice." Namjoon leaned against his doorway, looking down at Jimin at the bottom of the steps. Namjoon pursed his lips and nodded. "I forgive you, but don't let it happen again." Jimin looked up and shook his head. "I won't!" Namjoon softly chuckled, knowing damn well of Jimin's habit of talking too much that he will overshare again.

Jimin shifted on his feet and his lips pursed before he let out a breath. "Are your parents home?" Namjoon looked at his empty driveway before looking back at Jimin. "No, why?" Jimin scratched the back of his neck and nervously laughed. "You can say no and kick my butt off your lawn but ehm...." Jimin searched for Namjoon's eyes and made eye contact. "Wanna do it again?"

"What?"

"....I don't know, I kinda liked it so I wanted to try again." Namjoon sighed. "Jimin..." Jimin took a step back. "Oh, okay yeah, no it's... it's noted. I.... get it, it's weird. Uhm... I'm sorry this must be awkard for you oh my god this is embarrassing. I'll... I'll leave. See you tomorrow. Bye." Jimin turned around and ran off. Namjoon held his heart that was beating like crazy.

"I told you, it wasn't my fault."

"Ooooh, I haven't heard that one before."

"Jin. Listen to me."

Jungkook explained what had happened and how the rest of the group found out. Going into every little detail of how it went down.

"...Okay. I'm sorry for putting the blame on you."

"And?"

"...And for yelling at you."

"And?"

"...And assuming the worst of you."

"And?"

"Don't push it."

Jungkook laughed, letting himself fall on his bed.

"...Did you fall? Are you okay?"

"Yeah Jinnie, I fell on my bed."

"Oh shit- I have to go work."

"Okay. Love you."

"Me too."

"Seokj-"

Seokjin had hung up on him. Jungkook looked at the picture of Seokjin that filled his screen, indicating that the call had ended. Jungkook smiled at the picture, rolling on his back and looking at it.

"Hey loverboy, go do the dishes." Jungkook got scared and dropped his phone out of his hand, hitting his face. "Mom! Can you please knock?"

"Knock in my own home? No. Now chop chop, dishes." Jungkook got up with a grumpy face, passing his mother in the doorway. "How have you and Jinnie been doing?"

"Fine mom." His mom followed him all the way down to the kitchen. "I can't believe you two have been together for like 3 or 4 years already, time goes by quick. I still remember 13 year old you apologising profusely to me and your dad. We thought you accidentally broke something but instead you said you liked a boy." Jungkook looked up to his mother while cleaning the dishes. "Still expected you to be homophobic."

"Expect the unexpected Jeon Jungkook. Just sad that this won't last very long anymore." Jungkook had a puzzled expression on his face. "Excuse me?"

"Highschool loves aren't meant to last, well in your case middle school. They just don't win the race against time. You'll understand once you're in college."

"We're planning to go to the same one." His mother sighed, pinching Jungkook's cheek. "Both of you will befriend different people and go your own way. I give it less than a year."

"Mom!"

"Just being realistic honey."

"I'm sure we will stay together." She laughed, how oblivious young people are. "I thought the same about my highschool sweetheart. Now look at me, married to your dad. Jungkook sweetie do you ACTUALLY see yourself growing old with Seokjin? At a certain point the passion will be gone and then you'll only find love in the constant bickering." Jungkook hummed, putting a few cleaned plates down. "Already have to do that."

"Talking about passion, do I need to buy you new condoms?" Jungkook slowly let his hands fall, a blank stare on his face while looking at his mother. "Mom."

"Yes or no?"

"Yes."

"You lasted very long with the old ones I gave you, was the passion gone for like a year?"

"More like everything" Jungkook muttered, but obviously mothers hear everything. "What do you mean everything. Do I not know of something?"

"No."

"Jeon Jungkook."

"Mother." The both of them stared at each other before Jungkook gave in. "We were on a year long break."

"You two pretended to still be together? Jungkook why would you do that?"

"....Later curfew." Jungkook's mother grabbed her slipper, hitting Jungkook in the head with it. "I swear to god you can never trust teenagers. You're even worse than your brother." His mom started ranting about responsibility.

And that's the story of how Jungkook's ears died.
