"I don't love reading. You do not love breathing, do you?"
-Scout, "To kill a mockingbird"

I don't agree.
Reading isn't breathing or air, it's joy.
You can survive without it, yet your life is somewhat meaningless. Nothing can replace books or the rush of reading. There's no better way to spend your time than to look back at the new world you discovered. I never get disappointed with a good book. I never feel like wasting my time on it.

I fall in love every single time again. With a new book, a new world, a new life and the people that come with it. I've been in love so often come to think of it. Countless times.

"People in their right minds never take pride in their talents"
- Miss Maudie, "To kill a mockingbird"

This one is a tough shell to crack.

On the one hand, I am usually too insecure to take pride in my accomplishments.

On the other hand, I would claim that it is healthy to appreciate your talents without forgetting that you never stop learning and can always improve. It is rather the opposite: the more you know, the more there is to discover and learn.
