I R I S
It's now Saturday and it's been a week since the whole Mr. Name who shall never be mentioned ever again for as long as I shall live ever in eternity ever and kill him. But I also feel much closer to my brothers. Even Mateo! Like something that happened on Tuesday.
Tuesday
"When it doesn't rain it snows!" I belted on the top of my lungs. "Yeah the cookie crumbles but in whose hand? All things said and all things done, Life is short!"
I continued bopping to the beat of Butterfly Boucher. Love them! But then my vibing was interrupted by my music coming to an abrupt stop, leaving my mouth agape. I turned to the speaker only to see Mateo leaning by the door with my phone in his hand. I squealed in embarrassment and went to sit on my bed.
"Sorry you had to witness that." I said sheepishly with my head down, playing with my fingers. "I'll turn off the music if that's what you're here for." I raised my head to meet his. I know I'm usually stubborn with my brothers, but I've burdened them long enough now. So it would be easier to comply for once than argue.
He was looking at me with pure amusement written across his face.
"You were playing Butterfly Boucher. I came up here to join you, Iris." he said smirking.
Wait, what?
"You listen to Butterfly Boucher?!?!?!?" I screeched. He nodded his head, letting out a genuine laugh.
"Of course I do. And you just so happened to be playing my favorite song." he finished before pressing play, locking my door and joining me in singing and jumping.
"Oh I am young but I have aged. Waited long to cease the day!" We sang in unison. "All things said and plenty done, life is short."
That was the best day I've had since I moved in.
So we had a lot of fun that day. But we also had a really bad day two days after. Like one so bad that I almost cut again. But when I went to cut I realized my box of razors was nowhere to be found.
Thursday
I went downstairs for some Oreos that Luca bought me earlier today when he went shopping. I opened the cupboard and took one out, before making my way to the fridge to get the peanut butter. I know it's weird but ever since I watched The Parent Trap, I haven't eaten Oreos without peanut butter. And it's damn good on top of that. I took it out and got a knife, sitting by the island doing a tiny happy dance.
Come on! I deserve a break.
I was so caught op in my version of heaven that I didn't even notice Mateo came in until I saw the peanut butter being snatched away from me.
"What are you doing?" I screamed, but he just rolled his eyes and grabbed a spoon walking out. He's been really moody since yesterday and it's beginning to piss me off. I told him good morning at breakfast, WITH A SMILE, and he just rolled his eyes at me and continued eating.
"Looks like someone's on their monthly." I muttered. But obviously I didn't mutter it low enough, because I saw him stop at the doorway and turn around slowly.
A bitch gulped.
"What did you just say to me?" he gritted out menacingly. I gave him a once over and saw his fists clenched at his sides. His jaw was also tightening ntg by the second.
"Nothing. Jeez, calm down." I rolled my eyes. I was getting pissed off and my anger issues haven't toned down one bit since I got here.
"Shut the fuck up! The peanut butter isn't yours, you don't get to claim it." he shouted. Now I was getting upset. So I got up, put my Oreo bag in the trash and was about to leave the kitchen.
