On Hazel's fourteenth birthday, Frank brought her to the open fields overlooking Camp Jupiter and spent the whole afternoon there, with Hazel riding Arion and Frank chasing after them in horse form. When Frank tried to light the candle on her birthday cupcake, it rolled down the hill and he had to chase after it. Hazel, laughing, followed him, and unlike all the times that she had unconciously remebered Sammy and her previous life while she was with Frank, for once, she didn't look back.
